My last post for the year and on top of that it's also my 100th. I never thought I would actually take this blog serious but I have.

Things I want to change this year-

1. I hope to eat less junk food. With sports and all I need to stay healthy and active. Chips and Cookies ain't going to help with that.

2. Spend more time working on my faith. This year I really didn't put time into reading the bible,
praying, staying awake in church..etc. I really hope to change that.

3. Become a better friend and daughter. I want to be there for my family and friends just like they are always there for me.

4. Continue blogging. I love putting my thoughts down into a blog but at times I just don't have time. So I'm going to make time...hopefully.

Here are some of my favorite posts of the year....

Summer Activities- It's fun to look back at all the things I did during those amazing summer months.

My Addiction- Haha. This one just makes me laugh. I'm still working on my problem...hasn't really gotten much better.

Very Strange- When I look at this post I still think it is very strange but totally hilarious.

The Mouse- My life flashed through my eyes at a point during this wonderful night.

How to Survive- I even submitted this one into my school newspaper.

Starbucks- Yummy!

Have you ever- Wow. Good times

Life Changing moment- Seriously all my friends made fun of me because I didn't know this!

I hope you enjoy some of these older posts and I look forward to 100 or more new posts in 2010!

Family Time

My parent's way of saying "No" in using the excuse "We are having family time today!" hahahahaha. Yeah okay...since this is a "Teen" blog I thought I should share my concerns with other teens and possibly parents.

1. I live with you!! Isn't that enough time spent together? I mean when I am home it consists of do the dishes, finish your homework, tend to your sister. That's enough family time for me!!

2. When we plan on having "family" time. It never happens...You get tied up with talking about work, fighting(Not that families fight. ahem) and/or forgetting about it all together.

3. As a teenager family time doesn't sound appealing. Let's sit around with the rents* and the siblings for a time and see what happens. Fun Stuff.

So please if you have a teenager. Don't push the family time excuse!!! It's a teens biggest pet peeve. It gets your teen mad that they missed out on something for so called "family" time and if they want to spend time with you. I promise we will come to you.

*Rents- A much used word in the teen dictionary for Parents.

Hot and Healthy Thru the Holidays!

After nine weeks of being "present" to your health and do you feel?
The same actually....wait I have had more junk food cravings. That's about it.

Do you see any changes...any new habits formed?

I've been cutting down on the junk food majorly.

Are you glad to kiss this program good-bye or are you clinging to it's leg, begging it not to leave?! ;)

Haha. Yay!!! Goodbye I wont miss you!!!!!!

Do you think you will continue on with the tips and ideas that we have given you?

Anything we could've done differently? Longer time frame? Shorter time frame?

I think it was great(Even though I liked complaining about it) If it was longer I would of died and shorter...well I doubt any changes would be made.

Oh...were you able to take Mama M.'s tip last week and make it work? ;)How 'bout Keely's stretching?

Haha. I just ate what I wanted to and never looked back.

09' Rewind

This year went by so fast! It was a great year no less. I had a lot of fun, made many new friends, and have learned a lot.

-I changed schools. I thought it would be a hard transition but really it was for the better! I made so many new life long friends.

-I realized the true friends in my life.

-I grew up a lot. It's mostly good stuff that made me grow older and wiser..but some things I wish hadnt effected me.

-I got contacts! Big deal I know....

-I had an amazing summer with my friends. Warm nights laying under the stars, all-nighters that I will forever remember, inside jokes that will never grow old, and bonds that we created that will hopefully never break.

So rewind 09' and tell me your favorite memories!

Merry Christmas!

It's finally the anticipated day. When the children wake up early and find presents under the tree. The time to celebrate with family the real reason for the season.

Luke 2:9-12
And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with fear. And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!” “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!”

Christmas Eve

I love Christmas Eve so much! The anticipation of what will be coming the next morning. How all the stores have closed early and all the houses are filled with lights and families.

I just love this time of year.

"Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful. " ~Norman Vincent Peale

So I hope you're Christmas Eve is wonderful. That you make it to your destination safely. And that you enjoy the real reason for the season.

I'm going to go watch a Christmas movie with my family, drink hot coco, and enjoy the time we have together!

"Not Me!" Monday

It did not take us three weeks from cutting down the tree to decorating it. We never slack off on importan matters like this.

Instead of studying for finals I did not take a quick "break" and join in on a live chat. I always stick to my plan of studying until my mind stops working!

I did not stay up all night with my friends on Friday only to find out my mom had a long day planned for me on Saturday. I always get proper amount of sleep.

MckMama did not comment on my blog!!!

I did not sleep in till eleven today....yes do not be jealous!

Sunday, December 20, 2009

So I have been reading blogs for a little over a year. I have enjoyed getting to know other people! I finally took the plunge and created a blog about 6 months ago and I love it. I'm really glad that I have a place where I can write down my thoughts and ideas.

Here are the blogs that have inspired me the most......

I'm not sure how she handles 4 young children but some how she does. I love how honest and open she is about her life, faults, marriage, kids..etc. Her blog is the first blog I ran across and I have been an addict since.

Kelly's Korner-

Another amazing person who isn't scared to tell the world about her struggles. She is so real and funny. Her daughter Harper is adorable and that girl has a bigger closet then I do.

My Little Life-

If you want a good laugh about every day experiences go check her blog out. She is funky and creative. I love it. Plus Im a bit jealous of that tree house her hubby is building. It's every kids dream.

So what blogs have inspired you?

Christmas Tree/Snow Day

So I'm a bit behind on blogging. So I decided to make one large post about the past three weeks that I have been meaning on posting separately but haven't had time to do so.....So let me begin.

----Two Weeks ago we had a blizzard which landed us school aged in at home with a snow day. It was crazy outside. Then the next day was a 2 hour-delay....

---Three weeks ago we went to go cut down our Christmas Tree!! My family tagged along with My Aunt, Uncle, and two cousins for this little adventure!!

---My old Man. I love him to pieces!!

-----Mom, Dad, and my younger cousin Josh.

----Me! Sitting in the car, warming up, and thinking.

Process of getting my Aunt and Uncles tree on the van. Our tree is already tucked inside our truck(The one with the advertisement on the back)

----My 9 year old sister.

---My Aunt, Sister, and cousin Caleb.

So after we cut down our tree it only took us three weeks to decorate it!!

----My mom putting ornaments on the tree.

---Totally random picture of ornaments.

----My Grandmother and my sisters legs.

I feel so much better knowing that I'm almost completely updated with blogging!!

Cloud 9

Well yesterday I was on Cloud 9 because MckMama commented on my blog. That meant so much to me! She is such an inspiration to me and so many other people.

So Friday was my last day of school before Christmas Break. I think I did good on all of my finals except one that I totally blanked one. My excuse is that it was the last class of the day before the Christmas party...who could really concentrate any way? lol

This entire week we have been doing SECRET SANTA!!! It was a lot of fun. At the end of the day on Friday we got to find out who had been our "Secret" Santa all week. I had Haley and let's just say she spoiled me rotten the entire week!!

We also played fun games at our party. Like having to find 15 grapes in a bowl of jello using only your mouth. Fun times. Or having to reach into a bag picking out an unknown food item and then being forced to eat it or your team couldn't move on. I felt so bad for the people that had to eat baby food and a can of sardines... YUCK!

Also could you please keep my schools Girls Basketball team in your prayers. A bunch of seniors have quit in the past few weeks because the coach loves the game so much and she pushes them to be the best they can be. But some girls dont like being pushed and have deciding to be immature and just quit. It broke my heart seeing my friends start crying because of the these girls.

Star Struck

Have you ever meet a celebrity? I have a few times nobody really A-list but tons of football players. So on Thursday night I decided to join in on a live chat. It was fun I mostly read things and didn't post much....but the last thing I wrote....MCKMAMA commented on!!! I was so star struck it was unbelievable I ran to the kitchen grabbed my Camera a took a picture of this glorious moment. Sure she isn't some famous celebrity but in the blog world she is well known.

See look I have proof!!!

She said MY name!!!

"Not Me!" Monday

I am not so ready for the week to be over and Christmas break to begin!!

Today I did not wake up right as my mom walked in and said we have a two hour delay...of course I did not go back to bed.

While I did not allow my friends to drive my snowmobile they did not manage to almost kill me twice. Once by not almost hitting a tree and then swerving away from it and then of course not driving right into a snow bank.

We did not stay up way to late on Friday night/Saturday morning. Then did not end up falling asleep while not attemping the making of cookies.

Sunday, December 13, 2009

I feel like it's been forever since I last posted but really it has only been 3 days. It has been very busy the last couple of days.

On Friday I got together with some friends to exchange gifts and go snowmobiling. They ended up spending the night and practically getting no sleep. Saturday I went to go make cookies with some friends in which we all decided to take a nap on the much for the cookie making.

It was also my dad's birthday!!! Which just sorta sucked. My parents own a moving company and one of their trucks was in Phoenix. Driving on the highway when all of a sudden a mattress flies off of the truck ahead of them lands underneath my dads truck and starts it on fire. Nobody got hurt but the truck is now a pile of rumble. Praise the lord for insurance!!!

Then tonight was my Christmas Concert for school. I'm a band geek I will admit. lol

Phone Conversation-
Yeah, ok, yes, yeah, yeah, ok, yes, ok, i know, ok, yes, BYE MOM.

Enough Said....

Snow Day

Yes!!! Today is a snow day and we got tons of snow....I love snow!!!!I plan on snowmobiling most of the day, and then coming home and drinking hot coco.

Are you done with your Christmas shopping?

Well let's just say I'm not even close to being done. December 25th always seems to sneak up on me. Seriously when did we trade in flip-flops for boots?

I have gotten the majority of it done! For my mom family time..same goes for dad. My sister I'm going to let her win a argument for once...oh and my cat well I bought him treats.

Generous daughter? I think so..but since I'm broke this holiday season that's all I could afford. I mean I'm giving up my pride for my sister and my parents are always saying we need to spend "family" time whenever I want to go out. lol

Well I hope you are getting close to wrapping up your Christmas shopping!!

Hot and Healthy Thru the Holidays

How bout Keely's Pilates exercise's?
Well to be honest I started then gave up.

What about Mama M's healthy tip..Did you eat more fruits and veggies?
Yes...until my lovely sister decided to bake which I did not have 4 in one day. Whoops. To make up for it I had a healthy salad(Do I have to mention it had loads of dressing?)
Oh and did I mention these amazing cookies!?!? Yes, they are delicious apparently Mama.M like's tempting us!!

Did you get the 4 hours of cardio in?
Yes ma'am!! This is the easy part. Eating healthy is what gets me every time,

Last but not least...What are your goals for the next 3 1/2 weeks?

Waiting for that snow day....

Today while sitting in my 1st hour class. While I was paying attention to the teacher staring out the window I noticed that it had begun to snow. And it continued that way the entire day(Still snowing!) In my old testament class my teacher said in his prayer(Private School)"And bring us safely back on Thursday!" My ears just perked up like a dog waiting for a treat!!! Then on my way home I passed 5 cars in the ditch or swerving like crazy.

I must admit I actually love this weather!!! It seems to draw us all closer. Like the cars pulling other cars out of the ditches. The guy that got out of his car to guide traffic after an accident before the police arrived. Sure for driving it sucks but it is beautiful.

I love waking up in the morning hearing my mom say "School was cancelled!" Yes, nothing is better then dreading getting up and then hear those three glorious words and going back to bed. Of course seeing people drive their snowmobiles in the street(I personally do!) is my favorite. We drive our ATVs or snowmobiles to a restaurant for some coffee and food. Before we go on shoveling the snow away.

Awww. Did i ever mention how I love this time of the year!?

My friends phone did not go off during the National Anthem and I didn't frantically look to see if it was mine.

I did not stay up all night on Friday watching Gossip Girl Season 2.

I did not finally clean my room because It was not in complete disaray only to find my missing shoe, three forks, a golf club(Please don't ask why because I really am not sure about it myself), and a drumstick.

I did not have a really great "Not Me" but I did not forget it.

Miss.Krumpos(She got married and is now Mrs. Schliecher) She was my 2nd and 3rd grade teacher. I believe it or not still keep in contact with her now. She is a great example of a Christian and I have always looked up to her.

5. If you had a choice to live in any other period of time (other than now) what era would you choose and why?

Have you ever.....

Put your face close to the fan to hear you robot voice?

Grumbled when the teachers say "I dismiss you, not the bell!"?

Read capital letters and THE VOICE IN YOUR HEAD YELLS?

Said the entire alphabet because you couldn't remember what letter comes next?

Wrote BRB(Be right back) but never really left?

Pretended to text in an awkward situation?

Wondered how Mr.Krab could have a whale as a daughter?

You're online and want to talk to someone, BUT was scared to say hi first?

Wondered why teachers complained about grading things...When they assigned them!?

Not raise your hand but have someone call on you? Then the person wonder why you don't know the answer!!

Told a story that's supposed to be funny and no one laughed?

Got paranoid when I notice patterns on multiple choice tests?

Just when I got the courage to chat with someone online, then they went offline?

Watched yourself on the monitor when you walked into the Grocery Store?

Have someone walk into your room, when the door was shut, then walk out and leave the door open?

Cover your hands in glue, just to be able to peel it off when it dries?

Just hate trying to explain the 'You had to be there' moments!?

Shouted at video's games when your losing, or died.

Yeah me either......

So lately I have noticed that people are....WEIRD!! We have the weirdest pet-peeves, fears, and fashion sense. So here is why I am weird...

I only drink Coca-Cola if it's in a can with a straw.

I only drink Dr.Pepper if it's in a glass with ice.

I cant stand when water isnt ice cold.

I dont believe in monster, or the boogie man but...

Once I turn the light off in the basement I run upstairs and dont look back.

I must sleep with at least 3 pillows.

I have 6 pillows in my bed at the moment.

I can't fall asleep without the tv being on.

So what are the weird things you do?

I am so not exhausted after a weekend with little sleep.

I did not actually start doing some homework before the last minute!!

I did not once again change my blog background.

I did not do a lousy job at coming up with "Not Me's" because I hadn't done one in a while and thought it would not be fun.

5 Question Friday

I know, I know once again I'm a day late!!!

1. Are you a Black Friday shopper?
Yes, I am a Black Friday shopper. The one who runs in the store, pushes people out of the way, and goes for the must have item....Okay maybe not!! But I do love shopping on Black Friday and I promise I don't push people except for that one time to get the most wanted item.

2. What was your favorite childhood toy? (Think Easy Bake Oven, Cabbage Patch Kid, Shrinky Dinks, etc.)
I was in love with just plain ole' baby dolls. Anything I could dress up, carry around, and pretend to be a little mommy with.

3. Favorite Christmas movie?
My favorite moves aren't classics and are definitely far from it.....
How the Grinch Stole Christmas(The one with Jim Carrey) and Elf.

4. What is the "must have" item on your Christmas list this year?
I'm actually not sure yet...I would like Contacts, An ipod docking system, clothes,..etc. Nothing to grand.

5. Do you go all out with decorations or do you keep it simple and classy?
We put ornaments that my sister and I made back in Kindergarten and multi-colored lights. It's nothing fancy at all....but I don't think I would want one that is all simple and classy.

Good Times.

So I live in the State that is known for three things.

1. The Packers

2. Beer

3.Cows, Milk, and Cheese.

We also tend to wear cheese on our heads! Why? I really couldn't tell ya.

So that doesn't leave much for us teenagers to we turn normal boring activities into super fun nights!!! Like last week for example...

We made this Starbucks drink..

Into a night of listening to music at Barnes and Noble. Which then turned into a photoshoot (and I apparently turned 12 in these pictures!)

Yeah exciting lives us people in the Dairy State have....

Thankful Thursday!!

I'm thankful for the Thanksgiving break coming up!!

I'm thankful for my wonderful church family.

I'm thankful that some old friends that moved away 3 years are planning on coming back!

I'm thankful for all the opportunities that I have been given.

Merry Christmas Vs. Happy Holidays.

So I might of started something here...that was just suppose to be a simple question. Well things that are meant to be harmless normally end up taking an ugly turn. I was going to post something afterwards but Im actually going to post it here instead because im a little freak out to post anything on blogfrog at the moment because it's my blog and I can do that.

So I was totally against saying Merry X-mas or Happy Holidays because I felt that it was more of a anti-Christ thing. I still prefer to say Merry Christmas but I now realize that some people don't celebrate Christmas but instead Hanukkah, Kwanzaa..etc. I'm totally fine with saying Happy Holidays if it's for that reason. So do stores choose not to say "Merry Christmas" for this reason? I'm not sure, but I would like to apologize if I did end up offending people because that wasn't my plan at all.

Hot and Healthy Thru the Holidays

We bumped up the cardio goal last week to 170 minutes...did you meet it? Exceed it? Could of done better?
I'm really excited because I got over 170 minutes!!! I was really surprised when I added up my time and found out that I had about 190 minutes of cardio.
How about the eating? Snacking less? Or "snacking smart"?
I must admit I did give into temptation and get a Pepsi from the vending machine but other then that I have been doing great. I bought some veggies and I have been snacking on those when ever I feel hungry.
How's the water consumption going?
I actually haven't really been paying attention. I'm positive I need to drink more water though.
Have you been trying Keely's recommended Pilate's exercises?
I actually tried and failed....but next week I am going to try again...and not fail. lol

I know you're there

I know you're there- Casting Crowns

If all I had was one last breath
I'd spend it just to sing Your praise
Just to say Your name
If all I had was one last prayer
I'd pray it 'cause I know You're always listening
If I could live a thousand lives, bind the hands of time
I would spend every moment by Your side

'cause I, I know You're there, I know You see me
You're the air I breathe
You are the ground beneath me
I know You're there, I know You hear me
I can find You anywhere

If all I had was one more song to sing
I would raise my voice to make the heavens ring
If all I had was one last chance, I'd take it
I would stake it all on You

If I could raise up high and catch a glimpse of every eye
I would make them believe
What I feel inside

If I could live a thousand lives and bind the hands of time
If I could rise up high and catch a glimpse of every eye

I know You're there
I know You're there
I know You're there, You're there

"Not Me!" Monday

It's once again time for "Not me" Monday. It's been a while since I did one of these....

My friend and I did not get competitive while playing Wii tennis. I did not "accidentally" hit her in the arm while swinging my arm and she did not "accidentally" kick me in the shin. I of course did not win the match!!!!

This weekend I did not slack off on my homework and then Sunday at 10pm remember I have a huge science assignment due the next morning. I then did not give up after the 23rd question thinking that I could just get the answers from a friend. That would not be right at all!! The next morning I did not find three of my friends standing by my locker hoping I got it done. We really don't need to start putting effort into school.

Well that's all I have for this week!!

My Faith

I have wanted to write about my faith personally for a long time...but I just haven't. You see I have been going to church my entire life, I have gone to a christian school for all my school years, and I'm still struggling with my faith. For so long I tried to cover my struggle up. I was always jealous of the people that seemed so sure about their walk with the lord. While I was struggling with it all. It had been easy for me to put on my Christian attitude at church and school but around my friends I took it off. Then in 8th I snapped...I didn't get along with my pastor and I wanted all to know that I was against him. My "friends" dragged me down and I did the same for them. I was only in 8th grade but I was getting way to close to boys and I was going to parties doing things I was taught was wrong from the beginning. I was a rebel and I didn't care who knew that. I wouldn't admit it at the time but really I was just looking for something to fill the spot that my faith was in. I didn't want to fall away but slowly I did. My heart became hard and listening to Christian music even go me mad. I was sick and tired of being told that because I was a christian I couldnt do this or that.

Until one day I looked at what I had become and I didnt like it. Somebody I knew heard about what I was doing and said "No wonder your giving up on the church!" That really got me thinking. I didnt want to be the rebel any more. I didnt want to hide behind my knowledge of the bible...while I wasnt even following what the book said. I wanted the same faith that I had when I was a little girl...Isnt the faith of a young child amazing? So I started actually listening to the sermon on Sundays again....I listened to my real friends about how what they thought of what I had become....I stopped wanting to be that rebel I once thought I wanted to be.

I was welcomed back with open arms from my friends, family, and church family. I must admit that I have started changing my life only one month ago. This story isnt an old one from back in the's my recent struggle. That I hope that I never return to. I also hope that teens learn from my mistakes. The world isnt all that it's cracked up to be and it's a lot easier if you have God to lean on.

New Teen Quote of the Week

Last Week-
There isn't a child who hasn't gone out into the brave new world who eventually doesn't return to the old homestead carrying a bundle of dirty clothes.
-- Art Buchwald

This Week-
Every generation laughs at the old fashions, but follows religiously the new.
-- Henry David Thoreau

Christmas With a Capital "C"

* I got this in an email and I thought I would share. Feel free to post it on your blog or email to your friends!!*

When all through our land,
Not a Christian was praying
Nor taking a stand
See the PC Police had taken away,
The reason for Christmas - no one could say.
The children were told by their schools not to sing,
About Shepherds and Wise Men and Angels and things.
It might hurt people's feelings, the teachers would say
December 25th is just a ' Holiday '.
Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit
Pushing folks down to the floor just to get it!
Cd's from Madonna, an X-BOX, an Ipod
Something was changing, something quite odd!
Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa
In hopes to sell books by Franken & Fonda.
As Targets were hanging their trees upside down.
At Lowe's the word Christmas - was nowhere to be found.
At K-Mart and Staples and Penny's and Sears
You won't hear the word Christmas; it won't touch your ears.
Inclusive, sensitive, Di-ver-si-ty
Are words that were used to intimidate me.
Now Daschle, Now Darden, Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen
On Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Clinton!
At the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter
To eliminate Jesus, in all public matter.
And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith.
Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace
The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded
The reason for the season, stopped before it started.
So as you celebrate 'Winter Break' under your 'Dream Tree'
Sipping your Starbucks, listen to me.
Choose your words carefully, choose what you say
Shout MERRY CHRISTMAS , not Happy Holiday!
Please, all Christians join together and wish everyone you meet during the holidays a MERRY CHRISTMAS! Christ is The Reason¢ for the Christ-mas Season!

*Remember to pause the music at the bottom of my blog before watching*

I have been so tired this week!!! Seriously it was like I could never catch up on sleep with all the tests, homework,..etc. Thank goodness it's the weekend and I somewhat slept in until my friend called insisting on coming over at 9:30am!!! Screwing up my beauty sleep.

Well last night I went to the movies with my sister and watched Amelia. It was in all a pretty good movie. It couldn't keep my 9 year old sisters attention but I thought it was good. Lots of old people at the theater with us. Well not old but...older then 50. lol

Tonight's my school auction and I'm helping out with that. It should be fun because most of my friends are coming and they make everything exciting.

So I hope all of you have a great weekend!!

Five Question Friday

1. What is your favorite "eat" on Thanksgiving?

I love the Cheesy potatoes!!! The warm potatoes mixed with the gooey Im drooling already at the thought.

2. What is the name your best girl friend and the best trait about her or how you met (or heck, both!!)

Her name is Shannon and she is totally awesome. Her Aunt and Uncle lived in Good Ole' Wisconsin and they went to my while Shannon was visiting them from Texas we met. We at first didnt like eachother(I think I still have a scare from when she hit me with her shoe) but when she eventually moved her we just clicked. And have been unseperatbly since. My favorite thing about her is her laugh. When she laughs she covers her nose with her hand and looks down. It's the cutest thing ever!

3. What would you say is one of your "weirdest" quirks?

I hate when people start talking to me when Im clearly reading a book. I tend to get wrapped up in my book and all of a sudden somebody breaks the wrapping. I get very crabby when that happens and it drives my friends crazy.

4. What is your favorite genre of music? (Hip hop? Classical? Rock? etc.)

Wow. This is very hard because I have a variety of music that I listen too and I couldnt possibly just choose one.

5. Are you a Night Owl...or an Early Bird?

Night Owl. My mom calls me the sergeant in the morning because Im crabby and I tend to bark out orders because I dont feel like being late. I get my burst of energy late at night...which drives my mom crazy.
