5 Question Friday

1. What were you doing the last time you really had a good laugh?

It was about an inside joke about....firetrucks. Yes, that's right I couldn't stop laughing when someone mentioned a firetruck. Then again inside jokes are totally random.

2. Who was your first CELEBRITY crush?

It's pretty pathetic but it wasn't until recently I had my first Celebrity crush. I wasn't into Hollywood when I was younger or Disney Channel. So my first celebrity crush was DAVID BECKHAM!!!!!!!! He is just so hot....

3. What is one talent that you wish you had?
I wish I could sing. If I could sing well I could possibly make millions or just be able to sing to the radio without someone covering their ears. Either way I would be happy with that talent.

4. How often do you and your spouse go out w/o the kids? Is it frequent enough?
Well I don't have a spouse yet or kids. So if I make this question "How often do you go out and how frequent?" My answer would be....I do go out and hang with friends almost every weekend. I also see them at school everyday. So I think that's enough.

5. What colour(s) is your bedroom?
Drum Roll please..............WHITE!!!!!!!!! Yes, but actually the white goes with my room. I have many colors from my comforter to my lamps. Plus the duct tape on the wall. Why do I have duct tape on the wall? Another story for another blog post. Lets just say I love colored duct tape and it looks great on my walls.

Thankful Thursday

I'm thankful for the fantastic volleyball season that is coming to an end. Even though we broke our three year Conference Champions streak we still had a great year.

I'm thankful for little Stellan and how much he was moved people threw his tiny life. It amazes me how so many people came together for this little boy.

I'm thankful that it's Thursday, which means the weekend is finally in site!!!

I'm thankful that Im finally getting new glasses!!! It's unbelievable what 3 months of volleyball can do to a pair.

Please Pray...

I actually have a few prayer request this evening. Baby Stellan is once again fighting with SVT. He is in the PICU and needs your prayers. Tomorrow is Stellan"s 1st Birthday and I'm sure the hospital is the last place anybody wants to spend a birthday.

A week ago I had three moles removed because my doctor was worried about the shape of them. I'm going to be getting the results soon. Please pray that the results show no signs of anything bad.

Please also pray for this upcoming Halloween. Pray for all the trick-or-treaters that they all stay safe. And for the people that consider this holiday a holiday for Satan. They need the Lord so much and praying can do a lot!!!

Also this isn't a prayer request....but thank you all for taking time out of your day to comment on my blog. I'm truly grateful and those comments mean a lot to me. So thank you!!!!

"Not Me!" Monday

My 3rd "Not Me" Monday post!!! I actually look forward to Monday because "Not Me" Mondays are so much fun. So here we go....

For my health class we were not assigned to write down everything we ate for three days. I did not leave out the 2 mountain dews I drank and that amazing Java Chip from Starbucks. I am always completely honest and never ashamed about what I put into my body....

After we got back to school from the volleyball game. We did not wait 3 hours for the football team to arrive because we had planned a surprise party. It was not around 1am when I finally left school.

During this time that we didn't spend at school. We did not grab the giant workout balls from the science room and bounce them in the hallways. That would not be a recipe for disaster!!

I am not sad that volleyball is over for the year but Im also not glad that we dont have to practice any more.

Join in on all the fun. Come visit MckMama's blog to see the many more "Not Me's!"

Five Question Friday

1. Whats your favorite horror movie?
Children of the Corn!!! I don't think this movie would of scared me as much if I hadn't watched it at my friends house when we were alone. She lives in the middle of know in a farmhouse that creaks at everything...on top of that it's surrounded by corn from every direction. That made it 10x scarier because her parents didn't come home till the next morning.

2. Bath tub or Hot tub?
I like Bath tubs better. Hot tubs are full of Chlorine and other chemicals.

3. Do you prefer to view a movie at the theater or at home?
It matters what movie. Like Star Wars was definitely a theater type of movie but The Notebook was a movie that you needed to cuddle up on the couch w/ a box of tissues.

4. If you could chose a maid, cook or chauffeur, which one would you choose?
A maid. I would of chosen a cook because I cant cook at all..but my mom(Who I live with) loves cooking so I wouldn't want her to get that taken away. Plus we all hate cleaning.

5. Electric Slide, Boot Scootin' Boogie, or the Macarena?
Macarena hands down!!!

Lead Me To The Cross

I must admit I dont really care much for Christian music. I only like Hawk Nelson, Skillet, and Toby Mac. Until I heard this song sung at school during chapel by our praise team. They did an awesome job and even preformed live at the Cup O' Joy I have fallen in love with this song and I hope you love it as much as I do. Even though they arent singing this song it's still a great version.

Thanksgiving Thursday

I am thankful for the wonderful Christian High school my parents have sent me too. It has not just been a wonderful blessing in my life but has helped me grow in my faith.
I amk thankful for my little sister. Who at times drives me absolutly crazy but for the most part is the greatest sister in the world!!!

I am thankful for my wonderful friends. My life would be so boring without them.
I am thankful that the volleyball season is almost over and nobody has gotten seriously hurt yet!

How to Survive the Recession as a teenager

Being a teenager most likely means you are broke most of the time. It seems as if there is never enough money!!! Why? Because we have to buy the latest trends, and we love those late night taco bell runs, and whatever we want we get!!! To make it worse, chances are your parents don't have much money to spare because of the RECESSION!!! So here are a few tips on surviving the recession while being a teenager....

1) Take any job that is offered to you!!!

You are not to old to babysit. Believe it or not mowing someones lawn isn't that hard. Shoveling a driveway full of snow? Sure, these aren't jobs that have a steady income but at least they bring in some money.

2) Cut back a little.

Ever heard of a budget? Yes, those things that your parents are always talking about! If you really want to buy a dress or color cordinate your shirt with your dates for the next dance...then cut down on something else that you need less. Maybe instead of buying all that fast could eat at home (With the food your parents bought!!!) Free food!!!!!!

3) Do things with friends that don't cost money.

Believe it or not but you can hang out with your friend and not spend money. Re-use your imagination (the one you forgot about in elementary school). Board games are actually fun!!! Have your friends bring their favorite movies, put them in a pile, and randomly choose one. Sometimes getting out those old Disney movies aren't a bad idea. lol

4) Think about what you actually need to spend money on.

Do you really need to get a dress for every dance? Why don't you swap dresses with a friend from a different school. Will your date really care if you guys match? Is going to the movie theater really necessary? Believe it or not it will come out on DVD soon.I hope that these five easy steps help you out. At first it may seem crazy but if you actually try it out. I promise you it wont be that bad. Maybe you will even carry on with these easy steps as you enter adulthood.

My Favorite Place

My best friend and I have been going to Colorado for the past four out of five years. Every summer we make so many wonderful memories. From getting stuck in a hail storm while climbing a tubing down a river and going down a waterfall(Completely terrifying but worth the memories!)
Colorado has become my home away from home. The amazing views, the awesome people, and the best friend to share it all with.

We have stayed in Estes Park and Steamboat Springs. Amazing places I would recommend in a heart beat. We also stayed in Denver another amazing experiences but not as beautiful as the mountains.
So all together I have lived in Colorado for 3.5 months of my life. I have loved every minute of it and would love to return. Oh and I did take all the pictures posted on here!!!

"Not Me!" Monday

1) This is not my second "Not Me" Monday!!!!

2) I did not freak out because of a mouse that was at my friends house on Wednesday. I mean I most definitely would not be afraid of a tiny little mouse and stand on a chair screaming at it!!!

3) My school was not cancelled on Tuesday due to all the cases of the flu. I was not one of the sick people that got school cancelled.

4) While on the bus coming home from a volleyball game that was 2 hours away. I was not laying on the sit when the bus turned. Which then did not make me fall out of my seat. Everybody did not get up and see what made the noise and then go back to sleep when the realized who it was....I am not known for falling out of things.

That's all I have for this week!! Join in on the fun starting at MckMama's blog.

Being a Christian

I was thinking recently about what being a christian really means. I attend church twice a week, I read my bible, I try to pray as much as possible and I believe Jesus died on the cross for our sins. All these things are things a christian should do but at times we dont always.
On Sunday mornings I practically drag myself out of bed. Just the thought of getting out of bed, having to be around people, and listening to a sermon puts me in a bad mood. I really only read my bible maybe three times a week. On top of homework and everything else it's hard to add another book to the pile. I at least try to pray before every meal but sometimes I forget. As I look at all I do for my savior it's not much. It treat it like a chore to open my bible or go to church...but I still call myself a christian!!!

Witnessing is a huge thing when your a christian. Being able to tell people about your faith is an amazing experince. Being able to talk to someone about your faith doesnt mean anything if your heart is not in the right place. If you handed your ipod/mp3 to a nonbeliever after claiming to be a christian. Would the songs be able to support that? Im going to be completely honest...I have over 500 songs on my ipod about 15 of them are christian and most of them arent pleasing to the lord at all. If a nonbeliever added you as a friend on facebook and under your INFO it said you were a christian would the rest of your page support it? Im once again guilty here.

So many people like to claim they are christians but really what do they do to prove it?! Being a christian isnt about doing the least you can do to serve/praise the lord. It's about going all out for him. Changing your ways/lifestyle/music choice/facebook/etc., It's about having people look up to you and saying" I want the love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, and self-control they have!"

So think about it for a while. Do you walk into the church and learn about God, Then walk out and go back to your worldly ways? Or do you learn about God and continue using your faith in your life just not in church? Do you show that you are a christian by the way you act?

The Mouse

So today around 7pm. I get a text from my friend claiming she has an emergency and that I need to come over right away because she is all alone. So I try calling her back and she doesn't pick up! I then run a mile in the dark to her house and walk into the kitchen to see her standing on a chair. I start laughing asking whats wrong and then.....the mouse runs right in front of me!!! I quickly hope on the chair next to my friend...we are both screaming our lungs out.

Then the mouse disappears behind the island!!

We are 1) Both scared of mice(Why couldnt she of texted someone who isnt!?)2) Standing on chairs unable to see the mouse and 3)All alone.

I then decided to call my parents who both dont pick up their phones. I call everybody on my contact list and they just laugh and make fun of us. I send out a twitter begging for help and ask for help on my facebook status. That's right I wasnt kidding of being scared of mice!!!

The only thing we get out is a bunch of people laughing and making fun of us. So we decided to start throwing things at the mouse(Apples, spoons,..etc,.). The mouse starts running and running while we are screaming and screaming. The mouse ends up under the stove. We make a mad dash out of the house and decide to get her neighbors help. He of course comes over and cant find the mouse. Then tells us to call him if it comes out.

15 minutes later as we are playing cards on the counter. I take a drink of my soda and out of the corner of my eye I see the mouse running. I spit the soda all over and start screaming. My friend quickly calls the neighbor. He runs over picks up the mouse and carries him away.....

The End

Very Strange

So parents want kids to eat healthy food for breakfast. So they serve them pan(cakes) with sugar(syrup)! So apparently that is more healthy then lets say candy for breakfast?

Another thing is who came up with sweater vest? Did someone just randomly say"Well my torso is cold but my arms aren't so I will create a piece of clothing that doesn't have sleeves but keeps my torso warm!" Very confusing if you ask me. I mean seriously what is up with that?

Well that's all I have. These two things have been on my mind for a while and I was just wondering if other people have every thought about it.

"Excuse me, Are you Jesus?"

I recently got this email from a friend and thought I would pass it on. It really makes you stop and think. If little acts of kindness make our own lives better and do some good for someone else, why in the world don't we do more of it?

"Excuse me, Are you Jesus?"
A few years ago a group of salesmen went to a regional sales convention

in Chicago . They had assured their wives that they would be home in plenty

of time for Friday night's dinner. In their rush, with tickets and

briefcases, one of these salesmen inadvertently kicked over a table which

held a display of apples. Apples flew everywhere. Without stopping or

looking back, they all managed to reach the plane in time for their nearly

missed boarding. ALL BUT ONE !!! He paused, took a deep breath, and

experienced a twinge of compassion for the girl whose apple stand had been

He told his buddies to go on without him, waved good-bye, told one of

them to call his wife when they arrived at their home destination and

explain his taking a later flight. Then he returned to the terminal where

the apples were all over the terminal floor.

He was glad he did.

The 16 year old girl was totally blind! She was softly crying, tears

running down her cheeks in frustration, and at the same time helplessly

groping for her spilled produce as the crowd swirled about her, no one

stopping and no one to care for her plight.

The salesman knelt on the floor with her, gathered up the apples, put

them back on the table and helped organize her display. As he did this, he

noticed that many of them had become battered and bruised; these he set

aside in another basket.

When he had finished, he pulled out his wallet and said to the girl,

'Here, please take this $40 for the damage we did. Are you okay?' She nodded

through her tears. He continued on with, 'I hope we didn't spoil your day

too badly.'

As the salesman started to walk away, the bewildered blind girl called

out to him, 'Mister......' He paused and turned to look back into those

blind eyes. She continued, 'Are you Jesus?'

He stopped in mid-stride, and he wondered. Then slowly he made his way

to catch the later flight with that question burning and bouncing about in

his soul: 'Are you Jesus?' Do people mistake you for Jesus?

That's our Destiny, is it not? To be so much like Jesus that people cannot

tell the difference as we live and interact with a world that is blind to

His love, life and grace.

If we claim to know Him, we should live, walk and act as He would.

Knowing Him is more than simply quoting Scripture and going to church. It's

actually living the Word as life unfolds day to day.

You are the apple of His eye even though we, too, have been bruised by a
fall. He stopped what He was doing and picked you and me up on a hill called
Calvary and paid in full for our damaged fruit.

Please share this.... Sometimes we just take things for granted, when we really need to be sharing what we know...Thanks

"Not Me!" Monday

My school did not cancel classes tomorrow because of all the cases of swine flu going around. Almost half of the kids were not sick and at home. I have not been feeling like crap since yesterday!

I did not go to church in sweats and a sweatshirt because I did not feel like crap. I was not sitting next to three other people doing the same thing for the same reason.

I did not blow off my homework to watch Brothers & Sisters and Desperate Housewives.

I did not get a A+ even though I forgot to study for my English test because I was not watching TV!!!!!!!!
My first "Not Me!" Monday and so far I'm loving it!!! Join in on the fun at and read the many other "Not Me's!"

So recently a few of my friends started not feeling well. Of course I thought it was just a plain ole' cold. Until today when about half of the kids in my school didn't come to school or went home because of the SWINE FLU!!!!!!! Of course I started feeling like crap yesterday not even thinking that much about it. Until my school cancelled classes for tomorrow because of how many student have come down with it. Oh great!!! I get a day off school and I'm stuck home because of the H1N1. By the way for people that have never had it but are terrified of it. It's really not that bad its like the flu!!!

Haunted House's!!!

My favorite thing about fall is the colors and the many outside activities(even though its freezing)! So this past weekend it snowed on the same day we decided to go to a haunted house with my friends!!! So standing out at night in the cold for a haunted house wasn't the greatest idea but we did have was between Terror on the Fox and Splatter-haus!!!

We ended up going to Terror on the Fox which wasn't that great. Way understaffed and not that scary. We did have many great conversations though waiting for the line to move and driving back home. Next weekend we are going to Splatter-Haus or possibly find another scary one.

What is your favorite fall thing?

One of my favorite sports ever is VOLLEYBALL!

Even in my sleep I think BUMP.SET.SPIKE! It's an amazing game to play but it takes a lot of 2.5 hours, five days a week kind of practice. When you here that whistle blow during the game the long practices are all worth it!

So what is your favorite sport(s)?
