I haven't always been a daring person. When I was younger I normally played it safe until I met a girl named Shannon who was fearless! It changed me drastically. You know when your parents say "If your friend jumped off the bridge would you jump to?" Shannon would be the person that would randomly say "I have this great idea!! Let's go jump off a bridge(A small tiny bridge that wouldn't cause death of course!)"

So as the years have gone by I have done many crazy things with this girl and we are still in high school!! I can only imagine the years to come. So here is my list...

White-water rafting-
One of the most scariest things I have ever done!! Both amateurs at the time with two other people it was terrifying...but I would totally do it again. We were 12 and 13 at the time in Colorado.

Hiking up and down a mountain in Colorado-
Most tiring experience ever. It was 5 miles up and another 5 miles down in one day!! Torture if you ask me...We wouldn't stop complaining days after we made this endeavor. We had blisters, scratches, and sunburns!! Of course the next year we did the same thing!! We never learn. Did I mentioned when we made it to the top it started hailing and thunder storming? haha.

High-way Racing-
Definitely a death wish right here. We were driving home from a haunted house(Love them!!) one year and all of a sudden this car tried passing us. Of course our friends were driving in that car and we couldn't let them pass us!! So a bunch of teenagers at 12am in the morning racing down the high-way. Yeah, smart idea! Makes for great memories though.

Nothing like running of a cliff only to drop into a lake full of water!! Major adrenaline rush, it was amazing though. At first I tried talking myself out of it, because really who wants to jump of a cliff!? In the end I jumped...Im glad I did!

There was also that one time...had something to do with sneaking into a public pool at midnight. But we still deny that ever happened....haha

Busy, Busy, Busy...

Busy Day!! So I ran around town(2 out of town) going to 8 different graduation parties....lots of free food!!

I love going to such a small school. I would talk to one person, leave and meet up with the same person at the next party!!

I have also learned that nothing is weirder then seeing 6 of my teachers, 1 of my school counselors, and 2 of my coaches drinking beer while hanging out in someones living room. Definitely something you don't see every day!

Over all it was a really fun Saturday. I'm going to miss all the seniors next year especially the ones that play softball!!

Ive also been blogging for a 1 year and 2 days!!!

5 Question Friday

1. Is there something you've always wanted to try but just can't muster up the courage to actually do yet?

No, not that I can think of. The majority of the things I want to do I plan on doing when I'm older like sky-diving, Jet kayaking, go abseiling or bungee jumping!! Oh I cant wait.

2. If you had $100 handed to you in cash without your significant other knowing about it, what would you spend it on?
Clothes!! I was really surprised to see all the things that don't fit me any more that I bought last summer!! I thought I was done growing once I hit high school.

3. What was your favorite piece of playground equipment as a child?
SLIDES!! Not for going down but instead for climbing up! I must admit I still tend to climb up the slides...even though my mom says it sets a bad example for the little children.
4. Do you prefer a sweet or hearty breakfast?
I don't eat breakfast. I know, I know it's the most important meal of the day...but I skip it all the time. Sleeping in those extra 5 minutes is more important to me then food!

5. Are you a Neat Freak or a Messy Bessy?
The fact that I can barely open my bedroom door because I have clothes scattered all over the place might just make me a Messy Bessy..or a teenager!

Hospital Fun.

So I have this best friend and we like to do random things together.

Last Sunday we went to the hospital to eat(Yes, us crazy people in Wisconsin eat at the hospitals cafe because it's so darn cheap plus it's open to the public. You should see the amounts of teenagers the flock the hospital during lunch!)

Back to my story...After we eat we normally roam the hospital because it's practically empty(The halls at least) So we come upon this waiting room and Shannon spotted a box full of these...

I'm not sure how people deal with wearing these all the time because they are itchy and hot!! But still we had a fun little photo shoot with them.

Any fun stories about random things you do with your friends you feel like sharing?

Softball Team

Best picture I could find!!

I love my team!! We have had so much fun and have made so many memories. Thursday is the game that either ends the season or continues it. No matter what happens I'm going to be so proud of my team!! If you haven't noticed we have a lot of characters in our softball team.

Can you find me in the picture?

Monday, May 24, 2010

I normally love warm weather. Living in the frozen tundra isn't exactly fun during the winter and the thought of summer is the only thing that gets us through that horrible season!! But when it's almost 90 degrees and you have a 2 hour softball practice with crazy don't really appreciate it.

I was talking with a foreign exchange student from Mexico! She was even complaining on how hot it was!! So apparently Wisconsin has horrible winters and summers! While the people in Mexico have it beautiful all year round with the fricken humidity. lol

Okay, I'm done complaining now!!

So to end on a good note...

Our catcher dumped water from the water cooler on me when I wasn't looking after practice!! See I knew I could find something good to write about.

Hows the weather where you live?

5 Question Friday

1. Do you have an iPhone and, if so, how do you get apps and what are your favorites?
I unfortunately don't have an iPhone but I steal my friend Sarah's every chance I get!!! I love this water slide game....that's all I know about it. Oh wait...the truth or dare game is lots of fun with a group of friends!! Except it may get you in lots of trouble..just warning ya. lol

2. What is your fondest memory of K-3rd grade?
Hmm...lets see. In 1st grade(I think) we went to this place where they make pretzels!! It was really cool seeing all the fancy machines and such. See Mama M. kids still have fun field trips!!

3. What makes you cringe at the thought of touching?

4. If you could have any celebrity show up on your doorstep who would it be and why?
David Beckham!! Because he is the sexiest man alive. He would be telling me that him and that horrible spice chick girl person are getting a divorce and after that is all settled we can get married!! lol.

5. What would you say is your best physical feature?
My teeth. Never had braces or anything like that and they are perfectly straight and white!! Love them. lol

"People often change for two reasons: either you’ve learned enough that you want to change or you’ve been hurt enough that you need to."

How true is this?

I've changed multiple times because I've simply been hurt. I was raised in a christian home, by wonderful christian parents. Sometime in middle school I was hurt by a christian that I had once looked up too. My walk with God changed that day. I wanted nothing to do with God or church. I kept thinking "If this is what a christian acts like I want nothing to do with Christianity!"  I acted that way for years. The person that once hurt me even knew that he did. One day he asked if we could talk about it. The entire conversation I was told that I was in sin and that he did nothing wrong. That sure added fuel to the fire! During that time I did stupid things only because I knew that certain people wouldn't approve!

Then one day I started changing because I learned enough that I wanted to change. After years of carrying around this grudge I forgave the person that I thought turned me away from God. I realized that it was entirely my decision on how I acted and by forgiving him I was only helping myself. Sure, I still haven't talked to this person to this day but one day maybe I will.

Even though I still struggle with the same things. I'm working on changing for the better. Temptation will most likely set me astray but I'm not afraid of admitting that and asking for forgiveness. I only wish that I could of learned this a long time ago. Would of made things a lot easier.

“Though our hearts are filled with sins, you forgive them all” -Psalm 65:3

“I will cleanse away their sins against me, and I will forgive all their sins of rebellion” -Jeremiah 33:8

Snooze Button

I'm not a morning person at all..but the rest of my family is!! Talk about torture, after hitting the snooze button a couple times I drag myself upstairs only to be greeted by smiles and happy people. Sure most people would love this but me...not at all!! I need to be left alone for the first 30 minutes of waking up. Otherwise, I turn into the wicked-witch of the west Midwest.

I'm also one of this dumb people that need a lot of sleep but love staying up late! That always tends to backfire on me.

So actually this whole post isn't even suppose to be about me in the's suppose to be about alarm clocks.

George* is one of my worst enemies. I've tried placing him across the room, having my sister hide, etc. I always manage to turn him off and fall back asleep. Until I started using the alarm on my phone. Setting 5 different alarms comes in handy! Except I start having a deep hatred for whatever song I choose to play for when my alarm goes off. Thank Goodness Summer is right around the corner!!
 I can finally ignore George.

*I named my alarm clock George. It makes me feel better when I can yell at it using a name. I promise you Im not crazy...most of the time!!

So now you all know what I'm like in the mornings!! Exactly what you wanted, right? Well that's the first thing that popped into my mind when I logged into blogger..and it's my blog!! So please share your wonderful morning stories!

"There are many difficult things in this world to hide but a secret isn't of them"

-Lemony Snicket

Softball Vs. Soccer

My school is small..very small. We have two sport options in the spring for the girls, Softball and Soccer!! We are enemies and the whole school knows it! Here are a few things Id like to clear up with the Soccer players...

  1. They are called SOFTBALL GLOVES not OVEN MITTS!!
  2. Stop tracking in mud from you cleats into the locker room and blaming it on the Softball players.
  3. You always get the gym first when it rains outside for practice and we are stuck with late practices!! So don't you dare complain when we get to go inside the gym first..the one time we actually get it first!
  4. Softball players do a lot more then..lets say play fetch with you do!
  5. Don't complain about how we don't do as many running drills. We chose to play a sport that doesn't involve much running!! Have fun with that 2 mile run...
  6. Don't even try messing with us. We have bats and hard have a little soccer ball!
So there is my venting for the day. lol

5 Question Friday

1. Take your night, girls night out, or night out alone?
Girls night out all the way!! Spending time with my girlie's is the highlight of my week. I love the crazy adventures we find ourselves in, and the stupid things we laugh about.

Did I mention we went camping last night with two of them? Yeah good times that I will blog about later.

2. Can you touch your nose with your tongue?
Nope. I've tried and failed multiple times in my life.

3. What is your favorite flower and why?
I don't really have a favorite flower. The only one that pops into my mind is an Orchid. They are gorgeous!

4. If you could go back in time, what advice would you give yourself?
Don't do it. Don't do the stupid things that you were once so against but somehow found yourself doing.

5. If you won the lottery, what is the very first thing you would do?\
I think I would go into a state of shock. After that who knows!?

Forever Young

Let's dance in style, Let's dance for a while
Heaven can wait we're only watching the sky
Hoping for the best but expecting the worst
Are you gonna drop the bomb or not
Let us die young or let us live forever
We don't have the power but we never say never
Sitting in the sandpit
Life is a short trip
The music's for the sad man

Forever young I wanna be
Forevery young
Do you really want to live forever,
Forever and ever
Forever young I wanna be
Forevery young
Do you really want to live forever,
Forever, forever

So we livin life like a video
Where the sun is always out and you never get old
and the champaign is always cold
and the music is always good
and the pretty girls just happen to stop by in the hood
and they hop they pretty ass up on the hood of that pretty ass car
without a wrinkle in today
cuz there is no tomorrow
just a picture perfect day
that last a whole lifetime
and it never ends

Because all we have to do is hit rewind
So lets just stay in the moment smoke some weed drink some wine
reminisce talk some shit forever young is in your mind
leave a mark they can't erase. Neither space nor time
So when the director yells cut
I'll be fine
I'm forever young

Fear not where, fear not why, fear not much while we're alive
Life is for living not living uptight
Until you're somewhere up in the sky
Fear not die I'll be alive for a million years bye bye are not for legends I'm forever young my name shall survive
Through the darkest blocks, over kitchen stoves, over Pyrex pots, My name shall be passed down to generations while debatin' up in barber shops
Young slung, hung here, Showed that a nigga from here, With a little ambition, just what we can become here.
And as the father pass the story down to his son's ear Young get younger every year, yeah
So if you love me baby this is how you let me know, Don't ever let me go, thats how you let me know, baby

Slammin' Bentley doors, hoppin' outta Porsche
Poppin' Up on Forbes list
Gorgeous, hold up, Niggas thought I lost it
They be talking bullshit, I be talking more shit, They nauseous, hold up I'll be here forever You know I'm on my four shit I ain't with foreclosure I will never forfeit Less than four bars Guru bring the chorus in Did you get the picture yet I'm painting you a portrait of Young

Things have been so busy lately!! I feel that the moment I manage to catch my breath something else takes it away.

Teachers have just been packing on the homework. Of course they gotta finish everything in less then a month!! Praise the Lord. I need summer to come and never leave. Then again I'm not so sure my summer is going to make me less busy. With work and concerts(I'll tell you which one later) and more work...It's going to be a great but fast summer!! At least during the summer teachers cant assign homework!!!

And before the fun of summer starts....the dreaded finals must take place!!

Please, us students need your prayers for the next couple of weeks!

"Not Me" Monday!

I did not start on my essay till 11:30pm Sunday night. The essay was not assigned a whole week before the due date..which was not Monday!

Our softball team did not play our rivals today. They are not considered our rivals because of only one player. That player did not mess with our catcher a few years back. Not leading to the teams hating each other. Let's just say lots of "accidental" pushing and shoving did not happen on the field.

For lunch I did not just eat a bag of cookies and a Dr.Pepper! I'm much more healthier then that..especially we don't have a game later that day.

Snow is not in the forecast for tomorrow!!

Mothers Day

Reasons I love my Mom:

  • No matter what she will always be there for our family.
  • She is my best friend.
  • I love how she doesn't care what others think about her.
  • She knows what she wants and wont stop till she achieves it.
  • She is every bit unique
  • She makes me laugh
  • I love how she does everything she can to save money
  • She has such a kind spirit
  • She loves God

Happy Mothers Day!!!

Better start on her breakfast!!

Saturday, May 8, 2010

Apparently my friends and I like doing things in "Three's"

We all are different yet so alike!

Just like the smoothies and cokes. Technically all smoothies/cokes with different tastes.

Names, Names..Oh I love names!!!

I <3 Names!!

I'm no where near having children yet. Id like to complete high school first! But that has never stopped me from dreaming about my future family and the names my children and husband will have(You know until I find my future husband his fake name will do!)

I hope to someday have 5 children. I change the names that these children will have about every 6 months because I keep finding names I like even more! I even bought myself two baby naming books...

So finally here are my favorite names at the moment-

Girls- Haven, Logyn, Shauna, Harper, Avery, Maisie, Harlow, Mackenzee Sadie, and Hazel.

BoysFinn, Shepherd, Aiden, Marek, Judah, Silas, Liam, Jasper, and Hayden

It might be hard narrowing this down to five kids. Plus a lot of names are still missing!!

5 Question Friday

1. What is your worst memory of your siblings?
Well I still believe my little sister is the "Favorite" child. And I have proof to back up my theory! I actually have no "worst" memory with her yet. I bet if I thought long and hard about it I could find a few. She's only 10...we have a while.

2. What was YOUR naughtiest childhood memory? (Must be something YOU did, no pawning it off on someone else!)
I have a few recent ones I can remember. Then a few that at the time I thought was naughty. Since I'm still technically in my "childhood" I'd rather not share. lol. Maybe one day..

3. Where do you like to go to relax?
My room. Its a great place to kick back, read a good book or watch tv. I love my room!

4. What was the last thing you won?
A sex pen! lol Don't take that the wrong way!! I took this school survey and then they randomly called names and I won a cool pen that has the word "Sex" written in bold letters. Okay, it has more then just "Sex" but that's all my young mind remembers.

5. If you could be on a game show, which would you choose?
Wheel of Fortune!! haha. I remember going over to my Grandma's house and she would always be watching that show. She was so good at it!!!

Dear little girl

Dear little girl,

Remember those summers when you would play outside without shoes for hours with your friends? You would create secret forts, fly-away to mystical lands, and get dirty from the mud. Remember when your imagination ran free and technology didn't stop you from enjoying the sun? Remember playing in the woods, hay mow, or even the creek? You didn't give a care in the world.
(My 2nd birthday..I'm the little girl in the red/stripped swimsuit...everybody in that picture has graduated HS or is graduating this year. Except for me)

Now remember looking up at those "big" girls in Middle and High school. How you wanted to be just like them. Wishing that you could wear those cool clothes and run with the big kids. You wished that secret forts and mystical lands would leave and you could become one of them.
(My Older Cousin Julie and I..cant believe she is almost done with college!)

Little girl, you aren't so little any more. Life is only going to get faster. Those days that were once filled with far away lands are now filled with cellphones and ipods. You have become one of those "big" girls and it seemed to happen so fast. Your bike that holds so many memories is still in the garage..where you left it so long ago. Oh and that fort in the woods you built...your sister was spotted playing in that exact location. Those fields that once held memories of cuts and bruises...have houses and roads on them.

(My Cousin Cole and I)

So do your remember now? That part of your life that you left behind. Summer will be arriving shortly..and I know deep inside you want to go down memory lane with those friends. Why not connect in the real world instead of facebook? I must admit your life is going way to fast...and soon it will just look weird seeing an adult running barefoot across a field.

Love, Me

Softball Fun

I love my softball coaches!! Here is how our team conversation went after practice..

Coach 1: This weekend is Prom and I hate prom. Bad things happen before, during, or after prom!! Dont do  bad things

Logyn: In other words dont drink or have sex!

Coach 2: Exactly.

Coach 1: And if we find out you've been at a drinking party...Dont even bother to show up for practice on Monday.

Coach 2: And call us if you need help!!

Logyn: No Sex, No drugs, and No Alcohol...taking the fun out of everything!

Coach 1: Thats right!
