"Everything that I said I'd do, Like make the world brand new, And take the time for you,I just got lost and slept right through the dawn"

2. The Way I Am- Ingrid Michaelson
"Cause I love you more than I could ever promise. And you take me the way I am."

3. Eet- Regina Spektor
"It's like forgetting the words to your favorite song,You can't believe it, You were always singing along"

4. Peach Plum Pear- Joanna Newsom

5 Question Friday

1. If you had $1,000 to donate to a charity, which would you choose?
I'm not familiar with many charities. I raised money for March of Dimes a few years ago(haven't had time since). I think I would donate to that again. I have a passion for babies.

2. Snow days: Do you welcome them happily or are they a pain in your butt?
I'm a student, of course I love snow days! Nothing like waking up and your mom walking into your room and saying "Go back to bed, its a snow day!"

3. What talent did you wish you had and why?
I wish I could sing. My friends seem to love singing and they are actually good at it! Myself on the other hand cant sing. I have an horrible voice.

4. Are you a news, politics or celebrity gossip junkie?
Definitely celebrity gossip junkie! Especially if they have kids!

5. What is your favorite "cocktail"? (Are you a beer person, a kiddie cocktail junkie, or perhaps your more the "Cosmo" kind?! Anything flies...doesn't hafta be alcoholic!)
I'm not old enough to legally drink alcohol. I do love kiddie cocktails!

Sophomore

I was all excited about this semester! A fresh start in the grade book. New classes that you've wanted to take for a while. Change of pace.

Until they announced that they are swapping around schedules because a few classes are either overly populated or doesn't have enough students. Leaving my group of friends split in half for lunch. People with schedules that don't mix with their friends and a whole bunch of other things!

I know that we go to school to learn not to hang out with friends! But they are the ones that allow me to make it threw the day! I would die without conversing with them.

Sophomore year has been the worst year so far. I don't like the my schedules, lots of drama has occurred, and other crap that I don't feel like dealing with!

How many days till Summer?

Super Bowl XLV

Yesterday was a great day to be a Packers fan! I've lived in Green Bay all my life and only saw my team go to the Superbowl once!

Guess where we are headed on February 6th, 2011? Texas baby!

Good thing I decided to become a Packer fan only 2 hours before we played! It was a good choice. ;)

I'm kidding. I really don't have a favorite team because I don't care for football much. Except when my home team is doing good, then I care!

Things I've learned in High School...so far

Here are a few things that I have learned from High School. The majority of them I will not help me in life at all. They are the things that I will most likely remember. Forget about geometry this stuff will stay in my mind much longer then that!
  • I sometimes sleep in class(Rare Occurrence!!!) and when I lay my head on my desk it has to be facing the left side or my neck hurts! Haven't figured out why yet. Also dreaming you are falling down steps isn't good while sitting in a desk. That's all I'm going to say about that.

  • Finals bring students together! People you never talk with allow you to use their notes, old tests, etc. If a test was really hard you can all complain in a group and it makes you feel better about it! Oh and then celebrating with your classmates after finals are complete! Fun times.

  • Gum is like a drug. You find a supplier and don't tell anybody about them! You go back and forth secretly getting gum from people hoping nobody sees and asks for some. Gum is also a great bargaining tool "Hey If I give you a piece of gum, can I borrow your notes?"

  • Didn't finish your homework? It's all good someone most likely did and is willing to share!

  • Superheroes are back and crayons are cool once again. It's not a surprise to see high schoolers walk around with spider-man lunch boxes and color pictures in study hall.

  • Don't have sex in storage closets, locker rooms, or any other place on school grounds(Not from personal experience but it did happen last year to a lovely couple in our school.) You will most likely get caught and the whole school will know within an hour. Even the freshmen class know of this incident and they didn't attend high school when it occurred!

  • Don't blurt out things in the locker room where you cant see who is entering. Chances are your art teacher will learn things about you that you didn't want them to!

  • Don't lend out pens and pencils and expect to get them back.

  • Band terms and instruments are often thought as dirty to the typical high schoolers mind. Don't use them unless you absolutely have to.

  • Dont through out a "That's what she said" remark if you haven't scanned the room for teachers. They do understand what you just implied and will comment "(Insert name) you aren't suppose to know what that even is!" Real life situation.

  • You learn more then just English things in English Class. We've talked about everything from eating placentas(Don't ask how we got there), to how my friend Drew looks like Stifler in American Pie. Love that class!

My extremely late Christmas Post

I know it is January 22th...almost a full month since Christmas but I finally found my camera! I thought I would share a few pictures of Christmas with my Moms side. I didnt get many but it shows how thrilled(actually it doesnt but we are very cheery people!) to be celebrating Chrismas!

In this picture we have a lawyers wife(retired), college student, truck driver, millionaire, and farmer. Good luck figuring out who is who. Doubt you will guess correct.

Ah the little children opening presents. Im the oldest cousin that still attends this thing and gets gifts(your moved up to the adult gift giving once you turn 18) Scary to think Im next! I have 6 cousins ahead of me.

Ignore how excited I look!

5 Question Friday

1. Where did you meet your spouse and did you instantly know it was love?
I haven't met my spouse but hopefully some day I will.

2. What is your favorite room in your house?
The Kitchen because that is where all the food is! Plus lots of the socializing goes on in there and a lot of the time it smells good!

3. Can you wiggle your ears?
No, I'm not that talented.

4. What is your evening ritual?
Get home, check things online, dinner, shower, fight with sister, finish homework/read/watch TV, check online, go to bed. It normally changes day by day but that is some what normal.

5. How many hours of sleep do you need to function?
I've functioned on zero hours of sleep on multiple occasions but I typically like getting about 6-8(doesn't normally happen) hours during the school week and then up it to 10 on the weekends. Oh the life of a teenager.

Not my baby any more

I'm a baby person. I can handle toddlers but pre-schoolers I can go either way. Don't even get me started on how annoying I find Elementary school kids(my sisters in 5th grade and it has just been lovely) and that awkward middle school age!

Until today when my cousin Emory came over and I realized I like 4 year olds. He has stayed the night at my house at least twice a month since he was born. Literally. I've watched this kid grow up in a way I haven't seen anybody before. I thought that once the baby stage was over he would become just another cousin that bugs the heck out of me. Instead every stage he goes threw I love more and more.

Tonight he ran up to me with his arms wide opening yelling my name. I was greeted with a hug and the cutest smile ever. He stayed the night and I found my cat for him   found my cat. He carried him around by the neck but when he was sitting it was so precious to watch. My cat must of been dying the entire time. His poor little neck got a beating. Emory was just so cute. Showing off that he was holding the cat and making sure that the cat was getting lots of attention.

Then my sister started freaking out at me for some reason. He marched right up to her and said "Don't talk that way to Rae young lady!" Made me so proud!

Sure sometimes I just want to cuddle with a baby but when I see what a little man he is becoming I just love him even more!

The bond of camping

I've known Katie since Kindergarten and I've spent many weekends with her since. Her parents are the camping type..and when they camp it's a big deal. Their friends and family all go and bring their fancy campers, huge tents, and food to feed an army. I don't think I've camped with them and there wasn't a group smaller then 10. After spending multiple weekends in the great outdoors with people you tend to connect. After jumping into lakes that still has ice around the edges, to tornadoes chasing you down the highway. You tend to form a bond. People my parents have never met have watched me grow up and they always remind me of how fast I'm growing up. When my friends parents throw a party and my rents get invited its funny to watch. I'm getting hugged and conversing with people my parents age acting like we've been friends forever. While my parents keep getting  told "I cant believe I've never met you! We love your daughter(or something close to this!)"

Recently my mom and sister have gotten into camping with some friends. I feel bad for not going anymore but after you've camped with the Katie's parents you cant go back to plain ole' camping. It's boring and not fun!

I'll leave you with one of my favorite camping pictures of my friend Katie....

You know you have been best friends for a long time when....

You can predict the choices your friend will make even before she makes them.

You fight like sisters but still have that best friend bond.

You held her hand when she was getting a teeth filled after having 3 cavities(you owe me Shannon!)

You see something at the store and buy it just because you know she will love it...no special occasion necessary.

People say you would be the perfect lesbian couple...ummm thanks?

You don't remember what your life was without her.

Your family always asks how she is doing or why she isn't joining us.

You are known as Salt and Pepper.

5 Question Friday

1. What movie could you watch over and over again and not get tired of?

I really don't have a movie like that. I of course have my favorites but after watching them over and over again I would get bored. TV Shows on the other hand....I could watch Gilmore Girls over and over again!

2. What's your biggest pet peeve right now?
My sister! When I ask her to do something she will say "Cool" and walk away, not even doing what I ask! She is beginning to hit the awkward middle school age. Where kids are bratty, think they are all that, and EMOTIONAL!!!

3. If you had to describe your best friend in five words or less, what would you say?
One of a kind
4. If you did not have to worry about money or go to school what would you do for a living?
Being a popular blogging! A blog that could make me a decent living where I wouldn't have to work outside of the home and can travel all I want. I would live in NYC and type away while I look out at the view. Maybe get a book deal out of that and become famous!

5. What is your one "splurge" item, that you will always buy, no matter the cost?Starbucks...no matter the cost I will always buy it. I have a slight addiction.

All grown up...kinda

My friend recently posted this picture on facebook of our 2nd grade class!
It seems like yesterday we were taking this picture!
I'm still go to school with 3 of them(which is crazy considering how many schools I've attended)
A few of them I only have facebook contact with.
I've kept in contact with 1..not including the ones I go to school with.

Here are a few recent pictures of us. Can you tell who is who in old and new pictures?

Cliff-diving

I feel like doing something adventurous! These moods always tend to get me in trouble, but life would be boring if you don't take chances and have a little fun!

I'm thinking cliff-diving! Actually my first thought was jumping out of a plane until I saw the cost and decided that could wait. Cliff-diving on the other hand is free! My cousin lives in Michigan and says they have some amazing cliffs to dive off of. I have jumped of a pathetic cliff a few times but I want something more adventurous! The bigger, the better! So that's the plan for this summer...to jump off a cliff into Lake Michigan!

I'm so excited! Anybody else thinking about Summer plans already?

Random Starbucks Picture

Thought I would share my Starbucks photo with you! Apparently Laura and I do the same things at Starbucks. Work on your laptop, listen to music, and snap random shots of yourself.
Ignore how bad I look! It was the only Starbucks picture I could find...and it was taken when I was eavesdropping on the conversation between the girls behind me! Ha, I just wanted to see what they looked like and accidentally got this picture!

Just need to cry it out

I've been having a major off weekend. It really started on Thursday but I let it get to me on Friday night. In which I blew up at my friend. Who really was pissing me off but it wasn't my place to blow up at her. I couldn't hold it in any longer. I was kind of pushed to the brink. After a long conversation with a friend I got over everything. I told her exactly how I felt and she didn't criticize me or tell me I was having a pity party. It was nice. After I let it all out I felt a lot better.

Until Saturday came along.

I woke up at 11ish. Moved from my bed to the couch and stayed there all day. Watching Gilmore Girls, and Jersey Shore. I didn't feel like doing anything and I had a lot of time to think. In which all my bad feelings came back. My friend Kyler then called and I freaked out at him for no reason at all. He couldn't come over(I didn't want him to come over either) but he sent Aiden. Who knocked on the door and I answered in sweats, an over sized sweatshirt, and hair that hadn't been brushed since the following day. I didn't let him in either. I told him I was fine and didn't feel like dealing with people today. He left and came back 10 minutes later with taco bell. He is a smart one. He knows I cant resist a taco bell bean burrito! So I let him in just for I could eat my burrito because I was starving. He didn't try talking to me and I eventually just let it all out once again. And I cried!! I'm not a crying person. Seriously it's a rare occurrence that I cry but it happened in Aiden's arms and it felt good. Then he watched Jersey shore with me. Even though he has strongly voiced his opinion about the stupidness of that show more then once.

When I look back on this past weekend I'm glad it happened. I'm almost positive I gained a pound or two but it's all good. I don't have anything built up and it will be a while before I will blow up again. Sometimes you need a day to just cry.

New look and name

Notice anything new?

I decided to give my blog a name it could grow into while still having that young teen feel.

I chose Push Pops and Daisies.

Daisies because I think as humans we are a lot like them. We start out white/innocent and as we grow we are placed in water that sometimes has coloring. It effects how we look to others and how diverse we all are.
(Courtesy of Google Images)
Push pops because I love that candy. It brings back so many memories of running around in the summer with my friends all carrying our push pops.

If you arent getting my blog on your blog feed. Unfollow and then refollow. Just a side effect of changing blog names!

Much needed break

I'm going to start this out by saying I love my group of friends that I hang out with at school. We fit together like pieces of a puzzle. We are more like sisters then friends. Which is a good and bad thing.

We have flaws. Like any human but this year we started confronting each other about them, leading to people getting hurt and a weird gap between us.

Our relationship moved to fast..which sounds strange to say. We all were piled together freshmen year and got close really fast. But it's a fact that sometimes when your relationship moves to fast you run into problems. In any relationship(friendship, dating, marriage, etc) I know you have to work at it. When you spend 5 days a week together and the weekends together you get sick of each other! Especially when you are all girls with hormones racing and the stresses of high school!

I need a break from our fast paced, to much time relationship!

I don't want to sound selfish but I need some Rae time!

Away from my 4 sisters that don't live with me.

I need to take some time away from Syd getting mad at Sarah because she is really smart and likes stealing Syds answers and correcting them on her sheet. And Shannon being the better one in our 11 year friendship. Oh and Sydney being a ginger and all of us making fun of it...only recently she decided she didn't like it anymore.

The only thing is I cant...I'm stuck here till Summer. 5 days a week 8-3pm..and most likely some weekends.

I need my friends not to hate me for not wanting to hang out. I dont want to feel like I need to come up with an excuse for not wanting to do something with them.

Buy some cats

Paris: Maybe I shouldn't go. I mean, what if I fall for him and he doesn't like me?

Rory: Then you'll find someone else.

Paris: But what if there is no one else?

Rory: Then you'll buy some cats.

5 Question Friday

1. What is your current favorite book, and why?
Sherlock Holmes: Volume 1
I love mystery books and grew out of Nancy Drew and the Hardy boys long ago(Even though Ill occasionally pick one up and read it). So I started reading Sherlock Holmes in late November. I read a little more then a chapter a day in my NT class...which I would otherwise be sleeping in, literally. I normally fly threw books but I'm liking going slow with this book. Plus it's interesting!

2. Do you go to the dentist regularly?
Not really. Maybe once a year or when I complain about my teeth hurting. Which is never. My sister on the other hand is always complaining about a tooth hurting. Might be because she never brushes her teeth! Which is nasty but she will suffer because of it and hopefully learn before all her teeth fall out and she has to get dentures. I threaten her with that all the time.

3. What is your worst memory from High School?
Hmm...well I'm still in high school so I'm not sure if I've had a "worst" memory yet. Most of them are things that I thought were horrible but later found extremely funny. Like when I fell asleep in my NT class(before Sherlock Holmes) and I had a cold. I started snoring and my teacher stopped class and let everyone stare at me! I finally woke up to eyes all glaring at me. I raised my head, smiled because I knew I could do nothing about it, and went back to sleep. Or Snowball last year! Lots of drama and boringness.

4. What do you hope to be remembered for in your life?
My house. Which is really weird but my house has always been the "it" spot. Friends plan a sleepover..it's most likely at my house. I've even been invited to sleepovers that were at my house. Oh and my friends once walked like 5 miles to my house, broke in(walked in the garage door), ate my food, all while nobody was home! Oh and everybody seems to like my parents which I find strange. I hope when I have kids I make our house the "it" spot.

I hope my friends remember the many memories we had at my house and continue to make them!

5. Are you superstitious or do you have any superstitions?
I don't believe I'm superstitious.

Im a Planner

I've always wanted to speed threw life and get to the "good" parts or at least what I thought was the "good" parts. Which I considered to be out of school, married, and starting a family.

I'm a planner. I set goals and try to meet them. I went to become a Neonatal nurse. Marry one year after I graduate college. Have 5 kids by the time I'm 32. Be a SAHM until my youngest is in school then work part-time as a nurse. I'll be around 50 when my last kid turns 18. I then hope to do a bit of traveling with my hubby.

See! I'm a crazy planner. Chances are I wont get married till I'm well out of school, start a family later then I planned, and have kids still at home when I'm well past 50!

I know your life will never go the way you plan it out but instead the way God has planned it out.

Just sometimes it's hard to wait. I know one day I'll look back on my college/high school years and see how fast time went.

Just at the moment I cant stand this time of my life. I feel that school has no ending and parents will always have control.

Strange Dreams

I need to stop eating candy before going to bed! I've been having the strangest dreams lately.

The first one I was on a cruise ship with my friends Sarah and Shannon. I kept breaking my glasses and my friends door was voice activated but it only worked for me. We also tried to go swimming but the pool didn't have water in it.

Last night Gwen Stefani let my friends and I throw a party at her house. Another pool was in this dream but it actually had water! Gwen was sleeping but came out once to tell us to quite down. It was a really modern boxy house but it cool looking. I'm not even a fan of Gwen Stefani...I just think her kids Kingston and Zuma are cute.

Dreams are so interesting. They are sometimes totally random or actually make sense.

New Years Resolution

I have a love hate relationship with New Years. Another year means a fresh start. I love starting a new year. On the other hand my winter break is almost over! Also it means people start their New Years Resolution. I was actually one of this people that made multiple resolutions and lets just say I failed almost every time! In other words I began my new fresh year with a fail!

I then decided I wasn't going to make a new years resolution...and then I found this quote!
Many years ago I resolved never to bother with New Year's resolutions, and I've stuck with it ever since. ~Dave Beard

I cant win!

A New Year's resolution is something that goes in one year and out the other. ~Author Unknown

HAPPY NEW YEAR and good luck with your New Years Resolution!
