Study hall

I recently came across this picture on facebook.
It was taken in the band room.

This is the definition of our study hall.
We get nothing done!
We just lay on eachother. Literally.
My head is normally resting on Syd.
Sarahs uses me as a chair.
Every once in a while Elisebeths feet will land on one of us.

A few days ago
we stole the study hall teachers phone.
Took a picture and set it as her background.
Good thing we are all so photogenic...not.

The picture on our spanish teachers phone was better.
She didnt put that on facebook though.

I love study hall!

Salt & Pepper

I spent Saturday with my bestie.
It was nice getting coffee and having some one-on-one time.
We looked at cool salt and pepper shakers during our outing!
Which explains all the pictures in this post.
We got our softball coach to cancel the softball tournament we were
suppose to have on the day of prom!
She didn't even look at the list we made for her.

Sarah also had her first softball "practice".
She got hit in the face.
But she did good otherwise!
I have a feeling she will enjoy softball.

My list of things I want need is growing larger.
I need to stop going to Target!
And get a job.

I might be going to Europe next spring!
It will be with my school.
Im excited about the thought of enjoying a new country
with my friends!
Also I like the idea of getting another stamp on my passport!
I love traveling!

I re-did my blog design!
I love the simplicity of it.
Less is more!

5 Question Friday

1. What's your favorite way to spend down time (alone or with a significant other)?
Honestly, alone. I like being by myself and dont get to spend much time with me. That sounds really weird but its the truth. I love being able to do whatever I want whenever I want. Of course I love being with my friends and family too!

2. Are you the kind of person that wants things more as soon as you know you can't have it?

Yes I am. Its bad. Im not proud of it. But it can be a good thing. Once I have my heart set on something I push until I get it. I was the little kid that when you told her "no" she would do it any way. Then again that little girl hasnt changed that much.....

3. If you were given $1000 to spend on yourself, what would you buy?

A fancy camera.

4. Do you ever go out to eat by yourself?
Remember the first question? Yeah like I said I love alone time. So yes I have gone out to eat by myself.

5. What company would you want to do a blog review for?
Well our dishwasher is about to break so for my parents sake(and mine) I would like to do one for like Kenmore or some appliance brand. If I was being selfish I would love to do a review for some travel company. Travel for free!

Oldies but goodies

Music from the past, 90s specifically, have some of my favorite songs! Songs that I dont think I will ever get sick of. They are classics and these singers actually use their voices! Not to bash the music we have currently but nobody truely has talent (besides Adele and some country singers).

1) Girls just wanna have fun- Cyndi Lauper

2) Dont stop believing- Journey

3)Livin on a prayer- Bon Jovi

4) Land down under- Men at work

5) Mr. Jones- Counting Crows

6) How will I know- Whitney Houston

7) The Weight- The Band

Valentines Day

Its Valentines Day! The day that I never really dreaded but didn't exactly embrace either. This year I actually have a valentine! So I thought it was time to enjoy this day. Spending the day with my guy, dragging going to see The Vow, and apparently he has a "surprise" planned. I'm excited!

He is a great guy and since its Valentines Day I might as well talk him up. I don't mind bragging though.

The things I love

1) Resting my head on his chest and hearing his heart beat.

2) When he talks about my cat. Which others might find weird but he has embraced the thought of me turning into the crazy cat lady.

3) When he randomly leans over and kisses the side of my head. I cant help but smile every time!

4) When I randomly texts me unique names he heard and wants to know what I think about them. Once again embracing one of my quirks. I have a baby name obsession.

5) His love of 90s music.

6) When we go to a store he goes to the baby section with me because he knows its my favorite section!

Random Ramblings

Jodi Picoult is my favorite author.
I cant put her books down!

Walking on the frozen bay leads to memories with friends.
And lots of laughter.

Getting a leg cramp after an hour of softball open gym,
reminds you to start seriously working out.
But after noticing a huge improvement in your batting you can reward yourself.

Determining whether to follow your heart or head is not fun.
Ive been playing out different scenarios in my head.
I suck at making tough decisions.

There is nothing like spending time with the girl that has been with you through it all.

1-2-3 Cake

Oh my word!
I was recently on Pinterest and found the most amazing idea ever!
1-2-3 cake.
I have a strong dislike towards cooking.
Mainly because I don't like how long it takes.
Quick and simple is the way to go!

You need two boxes of cake mix.
One must be Angel Food cake mix and the other can be whatever kind you want(I suggest strawberry!)
Mix them together in a bowl.
Then simply store the mixture in an airtight container until you are ready for some cake!

Then just put three tablespoons of the dry mixture in a big coffee mug.
Stir in two tablespoons of water.
Microwave it for 45 seconds(some recipes suggest 1 minute but mine turned out perfect with only 45 seconds)!

It was so good!
Perfect for when you have a craving for cake but don't feel like baking one!
Plus no need for eggs for all of you allergic to eggs!

Jeremiah 29:11

I just recently found some older pictures of my family.
These were taken only four short years ago.

Its weird to see how much our whole family has changed.
For example our hair colors.
My Mom and I stopped dying our hair since then! ha
She went gray and mine went to a interesting brownish red color.

My sister lost the gap between her teeth.
I checked once I saw these pictures.
Not before I called her "bucky" a few times.
Sisterly love!

These pictures also remind me of my favorite pair of jeans!
Which I just happen to be wearing in these pictures.
I left them at my friend Lindsey's house that summer. :(

These pictures were the year before high school.
That winter I would meet my best friends at a volleyball thing.
We had no clue that we would become best friends.
I didn't know that I would spend high school being friends with  "purple girl" or "bacon bangs".

That winter my parents business struggled.
We made it through.
Its still up and kickin'
So are we surprisingly.

These pictures remind me that life goes fast.
You go through good and bad times.
God has a plan for your life even if at times it doesn't 'fit' your plan.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
-Jeremiah 29:11

La de da de de,..... la de da de da.....Sonny and Cher anyone? The beat goes on! I have had the song stuck in my head since we started singing it in choir(which I cant believe I just typed. I'm not a choir girl at all).

I'm enjoying my sister more and more lately. There is a 4 1/2 year age difference between us. So I have found her annoying until recently. She is a middle schooler this year. I hated middle school and I would of loved having an older sister to show me the ropes. Lucky for her she has one!

She got her first zit recently.
I handed her a bottle of face wash and told her she would be doing this for a long time.
We also had a celebratory milkshake for breakfast.
We celebrated the beginning of being a "tween" and the end of perfect flawless skin.

I was picking up my sister from basketball practice. All the way from her school to the road we turn on to get to our house we followed a white mustang. My sister kept commenting on how the mustang might think we are stocking it. Instead of turning on our road I went straight past it and continued following the mustang. She asked "Where are you going?". I just smiled. She giggled and said "You are the best!". Nothing like making memories with your sister. We followed the car to the opposite side of town. Is that weird? =)

Since Im on the topic of sisters I cant leave this one out.
My sister since the first time she threw a shoe at my head.
We went to Barnes and Noble and she insisted on finding the "Lima Bean" book.
Apparently I was suppose to know what that was.

We found it, eventually.
I ended up asking for assistance even though Shannon was completely against it.
Good thing I did!
Apparently Shannon already "checked" the section where we found it.
