Car Accident

So I was on my way home from my softball game and was driving behind a firetruck. They were obviously heading somewhere because they had their lights on. All of a sudden the firetruck stops at the road right before mine. I saw my dads van on the side of the road along with a few cops, and a ambulance. I thought that he had gotten into an accident until I turned unto the road and saw what had happened. My boyfriend Eric had gotten in the accident!

Everyone involved was safely out of their cars.
No major injuries had occurred.
Eric's hand was cut, his face was bruised, and he was spitting out blood.

Apparently the car going the opposite direction was going to turn left.
They thought they would beat Eric who was going straight.
Instead they t-boned.
Eric's car ended up sliding and hitting the car at the stop sign.

The car at the stop sign just happened to be an insurance agency.
She had just picked up her brand new car with only 13 miles on it.

Im so grateful that everyone involved was okay!
Looks like I'll be the one driving for a while.

Prom talk 2012

And the famous prom speeches begin....I honestly feel bad for our Coach. She has to deal with us! This years went about as good as last years. <---Click to read about it
A little boy was writing us a message with his french fry and Chelsey decided to copy him.
It says "Hi"

Coach:Only if you are married then you are allowed to have a sex! Not with boyfriends or fiances...You need a ring on your hand and a marriage license signed!
Alyssa: What if we are married and have a boyfriend?
Me: Technically you would have a ring and a marriage license
Coach: No! Well I guess that is your choice but I hope you don't go that route!
Alyssa: Thanks for clarifying that coach!
Making chocolate milk while "cleaning" the kitchen at school.

Me: She said we couldn't have sex or drink alcohol. She never said anything about smoking!
Syd: How old do you have to be to smoke weed?
Me: Ummm Syd....its illegal.
Syd: Oh.
Chelsey: Hey coach you never said if smoking pot was okay or not?
Coach: Do I really have to spell everything out for you?
All: Yes!
Coach: No smoking weed either!

The box says "Got an issue? Take a tissue!"
Apparently our school has a lot of problems.

In other news I made a few nice catches at the game tonight! I also did not come home with a concussion and a black eye. We played at the same field where I managed to get both at last year. I love being injury free...*knock on wood*

Tonight after the game Chelsey and I went to McDonalds.
We had a nice time together!
Time just flew by when we were talking.

Once again cleaning the kitchen

I just read all of my previous softball posts on my blog.
At times when I want to quit those make me change my mind.
There has a been bad things but there has also been good things!

One of them

As a little kid I always looked up to the older kids.
I wanted to be like them so bad!
Their lives seemed so fun.
Then one day I woke up and I became one of those "big kids".
I get to over hear conversations that begin with "I wish I had a big sister!" and end with "Yea she is pretty awesome".

My high school years are going by so fast!
Before we know it this time of our lives will be gone.
On to the next phase of our lives.

Until then we will act crazy.

Run the streets late at night.

Make memories that will turn into great stories.

Laugh at our inside jokes.

Take pictures that end with bad results.

Love the friends that God has placed in our lives.

Warm our butts next to the fire.

Because time goes fast and we don't want to miss out.

I want to look back on these years and say
" I had the time of my life"

And in the end, its not the years in your life that count.
Its the life in your years.

Happy Birthday!

And the sister of the year award goes to....ME!!!

Just kidding.

My Dad is out of town and my Mom decided to have a rummage sale today. In other words I have been placed on taxi service duty. I took my sister and her friend to their softball practice, attended the parent meeting, Im babysitting soon, and then once I get home Im taking my sister and her friends to the mall. I still need to make time to write my church history paper before the bonfire at my friends house tonight.

Gotta love busy days!

Today is also my one and only sisters 12th birthday!!

Happy Birthday Babe!! I hope you enjoy your last year of pre-teenhood because being a teenager is right around the corner!

The new normal

I am exhausted!
Going to school, working part time, and playing softball is tiring.
Good thing I'm really enjoying my job so far!
We haven't officially opened yet so it has just been training.
Elisebeth and I have stayed late the past two training days.
I'm not sure if them making us stay late is a good or bad thing.
I'm hoping its a good!
One manager calls me Rae Rae and the other calls me Rae of sunshine.
How original!
Not.

(We took this picture to please our Moms.)

My favorite thing to do is wash dishes!
I'm not even kidding.
I love arranging everything in the rack so it fits.
I feel cool working the fancy dish washer!
Its really fast paced and it keeps me constantly going.

Ive been missing softball practices because of the mandatory training days.
My coach is not to happy.
Oh well.
Id rather work and get paid.

I got the grass stains on my uniform from when I "dove" for a ball.
I felt proud and decided to take a picture.
I probably wont be getting many more grass stains.
Good thing I have friends that sit on the bench too!
They make it more entertaining.

Sarah is also enjoying her first ever softball season!
If you cant see your enthusiasm in the picture above then you must be blind!

Well I'm off to bed.
Its part of the cycle.
Sleep.Wake up. Go to school. Softball.Work.Shower.Sleep
I through eating in every once in a while.

Bring a swimsuit

I love when a boring night turns into a fun adventure. Especially when you are in a funky mood and need to be distracted. My friends Katie and Katherine provided that distraction on Saturday night. At 10:30pm I get a call telling me to come outside and bring my swimsuit. I found a PT cruiser in my drive-way and automatically knew I was going to have fun.

They took me to a sketchy looking Mexican restaurant.
That had amazing food!

The restaurant might become a new favorite spot for me.
Great food with a cheap price.
Perfect!

We then went swimming.
We accidentally walked in on a couple making out in the hot tub.
It was really awkward.
They didn't even notice we had entered until we all laughed.
Oops.

At 12:30pm we ended up getting kicked out.
We didn't even have time to change!
Nothing like running the streets in bikinis on a April night.

Once I walked into my house my Dad happened to be up.
His face was priceless when he saw that I was only in a bikini.
He just shook his head and went to bed.
I love my Dad.
He stopped asking questions long ago.

Song list

I really love having the songs I was listening to at the time documented! Sometimes Ill forget about a song and finally listening to it again makes me happy! It will be interesting to see in 20 years what I was listening to when I was a teen. I really love my music taste so hopefully it doesn't change much.

1. We got us- Canaan Smith

2. Better man- I prefer Sugarlands version but Nirvanas is awesome too!

3. Heart in your heartbreak- The pains of being pure at the heart

4. Love like crazy- Lee Brice

5. The Impression that I get- The Mighty Mighty Bosstones

6. Cantaloop- US3 (One of my favorite driving songs)

7. If you ever come back- The script

8. I dont wanna be here- Jagstar

9. Little Lion Man- Mumord & Sons

10. Bye Bye- Jo Dee Messina

11. Never let go- Bryan Adams

12. Dance again- Jennifer Lopez

I'm off to take my ACT! Wish me luck and send up a few prayers please.

Softball 2012

This picture explains our softball team perfectly.
I even had a black eye to prove it.
And coach has given us plenty of no drugs, sex, or alcohol speeches.

So I love spending time with my friends!
Almost all of them being in softball(that's my excuse for mixing this post together with the picture).
We say lots of stupid and funny things.
A few of them I actually remember.

Spending time at the library

Elisebeth: Yea I owe twelve dollars....from my Gerard Butler videos. That's embarrassing
Chelsey: (checks account) Crap! I owe fifteen dollars and seventy-five cents.
Rae: I only owe seven dollars!

Chelsey: Rae!
Rae: (quickly closes page) What?
Chelsey: We are suppose to be writing our papers! You are not suppose to be blogging and watching music videos!

Softball games

Logyn: So my dad is supposedly building a bench in the garage. Its looking more like a boat. The next Noahs ark! He has no idea what he is doing out there.

Team bonding

Sarah: Does anyone else take communion like a shot?

Study group fail

I have officially less than a week till I take the ACT. Crap! Ive been telling myself for over a year that I needed to start preparing. Five days before I take the test and I'm finally starting.

Being a procrastinator sucks!
Having friends that like procrastinating doesn't help me either.
At least we are in the same boat.

We have done two study groups during Easter break.
Neither of them were very productive.
One involved a library and the other a cafe

Ginger Ale, Blogging, and pinterest.
My downfalls.
Time to pull out of this funk.
This part of the year always gets to me.
I'm so ready to be done with school, but I still have seven weeks left!

Seven weeks until I'm a senior.

5 Question Friday

1. Would you prefer having people over for dinner or going to their house?
I love having people over at my house! I hate doing dishes though. So I choose going to someone elses house!

2. Favorite Bible verse and why?

Ecclesiastes 3:1.
I often need to be reminded that things happen on Gods time.
He has everything planned and patience is key!

3. What was the first concert you ever attended, and the most recent one?

Power of One. I only remember seeing Toby Mac perform. The most recent one was probably Shonlock. If you consider that a concert. Otherwise it was Skillet!

4. The year is 2025. What are you doing, and what have you done?

I will be soaking up my last months of being in my twenties.
Hopefully married with a few babies.
Working part time as a Neonatal nurse.
I hopefully will have traveled a lot!
5. What's your favorite Easter treat?

Jelly Beans!

Spring Break 2012

I have a love hate relationship with spring break.
Its a much needed break between the middle and the end of the school year.
This break reminds me of how amazing it is not to worry about school!
Which makes returning to school so much harder!
Eight more weeks!

This spring break I went to Burlington, WI with my friend Katie.
The weather was nice so we enjoyed walking around town.
Not much sleeping occured.
We ate at her Aunts restaurant for breakfast every morning!
Lots of food was consumed, realty tv watched, and lots of napping happened!

The Irish man has also made his return in odd spots.
You never know where he will be!
Katie found him in the tub and I found him hiding behind a chair in my room.
He even joined us on the porch.
The mechanic fixing the car was eye candy for us all!

I don't want spring break to end!
I'm looking forward to summer even more now!
Hopefully this summer I can return to my Irish man.
Until then I will just have to cuddle up with another Irish man named Eric.
I have a thing for gingers apparently.
