Senior pictures #2

So my senior pictures are kind of growing on me. I guess looking at pictures of yourself with your Mom helps. She complimented even the bad ones! Reason #7878979824 of why I love my Mom!

So here are the last batch of them....

They were there

(Image)

How true is this?

I recently printed a few pictures to put in my locker at school.
My senior locker.
The last one that I will have in that hallway, at that school.
The school that brought completely different people together.
The girls who have cried together, laughed together, and fought together.
They are the people that hold my secrets and my heart.

They were(and still are) the ones that were there.

This whole senior year thing sucks.
It depresses me.
I don't know how I will survive next year without my girls.

Senior Pictures

It's hard to believe that I have already taken my senior pictures.
For years I would dream about the day I could take them.
That day has passed.
I'm not thrilled with how they turned out but oh well.
Here is a sneak peak at some of them.

I got a few taken with my sister.

And a few with my best friend.

Here's to hoping that the rest turn out!

5 Question Friday

1. If you could have been (could be) any profession you wanted (brains and $$$ no problem) what would it be?

Hmm...I honestly would just like to be a stay-at-home Mom with a blog that makes money. Working from home and taking care of the kids. Sounds good to me!

2. How often do you clean out your car?

Deep clean or just pick up what is visible clean?
I hate messy cars! I'm not sure why I'm like this, because I was raised with parents that have messy cars.

Coffee stains. Check.
Writing utensils galore. Check.
Crumbs from various foods. Check.

Drives me crazy! So I deep clean(vacuum, wipe down the interior, shake out the rugs, etc.) about once a month. Other than that I eliminate the clutter almost daily. I currently only have a neatly folded blanket in my trunk, a sweatshirt in my backseat, and a few pennies in a cup holder.

Man, typing that out made me seem like a grandma.

I mean I have a McDonalds cup in the cup holder, half of my closet in the back seat, and something is starting to smell strange in the trunk!

Does that make me sound more my age?

3. Do you wish there was such a thing as fashion police or are you deeply relieved?

ha. The fashion police would be a bad idea! I like dressing for comfort most of the time. T-Shirts, hoodies, jeans, sweatpants, athletic pants/shorts,etc. Im sure the fashion police would not be happy with me. Plus some people have a creative style that other smight not consider "cool". So fashion police=  NO!

4. What's your go to food/drink/activity when stressed?

Dr.Pepper! Im an addict.

5. If you had twins, what would you name them?

Oh no. I could talk about baby names all day!

Boy/Girl-Camden and Charlotte(Charlee) or Silas and Sage
Girl/Girl- Avery and Maisie or Sage and Tatum
Boy/Boy- Silas and Jude or Liam and Lachlan

Last first day of high school

Well, senior year has officially started. I have dreaded the first day of school all summer! Now that it has started I am glad to be back though! I get to see my friends almost every day, start the graduation countdown, apply for colleges, and so much more.

This year we got iPads. Talk about a huge distraction! I was playing games, checking on facebook, pinning things on Pinterest, messaging my friends, etc. These things were a bad idea. I have no self-control when it comes to electronics. Hopefully I manage to control myself.

My locker already sucks.

I forgot my lunch today. My Dad had to bring it to me. I might be older this year but apparently some things dont change!

Senior year here I come!

Change

"Would the person you were then, be proud of who you are today?"

Im not sure I would even recognize myself.

Senior Retreat

Before school starts my school has a senior retreat.
A time for the new senior class to talk about leadership and stuff.
It's a good way to prepare for the upcoming school year!
This year our class went camping.
I love camping!
Sitting around the campfire with friends is one of my favorite things to do.

On the first day we had a bible study, discussion about how we want to show leadership, and of course brats cooked over the fire!

Once it got dark we went to the beach.
The water was so warm!
We used that to our full advantage.

After we got done swimming the girls in my class(excluding three) just hang out.
We sat around outside talking and playing games.
Then a park ranger came and we continued our bonding time in a tent.
I really wish we would have connected like that earlier in our high school career.

The next day we headed back to the beach!
We also got our freshman buddies assigned.
I have been waiting for that moment for a long time!

Tearing down the tent was interesting.
We found a lot of spiders and bugs!
Yuck.
When in doubt poke it with a stick...or smash it.

This retreat has me ready to go back to school!
I'm ready to make senior year the best year!
In a little less than a year we will graduate and go our separate ways.
Its a terrifying thought but you cant slow down time.
Just enjoy the days and situations you have been given!

I love...

... when Eric randomly kisses the side of my head. Does that sound weird? I'm serious though. Best thing ever!

... when your friends call you late at night, from your driveway, insisting you get out of bed and join them.

... mini-vacations with your boyfriend and one of your best friends!

... half-off smoothies from 10-7am.

... Netflix.

... when your friends parents are out of town. Parents are great, but sometimes they get in the way.

... re-runs. Brilliant idea!

... tips. I live for tips at work!

... my boyfriends Mom. ha Im totally kidding with this one. She hates me, Im not fond of her. Its a lovely thing.

... Six flags! Especially with Eric, Katie, and Jenae.

Burlington

My mini-vacation ended today. :( It was a ton of fun though and I got a bunch of cellphone pictures!

My friends aunt owns a restaurant. So we went to the Restaurant Depot with her. It was a lot like Sam's club except more exclusive, more boxes, and its bigger!

They even had samples!
Octopus squid salad anyone?

One night we went to Lake Geneva to eat and shop.
Lots of tourists were out!

Im always full here!
We are either getting free food at the restaurant, eating ice cream, or going out to eat.
We just get a little spoiled!

One night we got bored and decided to dye my hair.
I think this might be my first bathroom picture involving a phone and a mirror.

On Wednesday Eric, Katie, Jenae, and I went to Six Flags!
We rode in the front of this roller coaster.
I love roller coasters but I was a little scared about riding in the front.
Eric held my hand though and I was laughing the entire time.
We went on the new x-flight ride!
My new favorite!

After riding the roller coasters we went to Hurricane Harbor.
We spent the majority of the time in the wave pool!
I love those!
I almost lost my top and bottom of my bikini.
Those waves could get rough!
After we got sunburned enough we headed to Gurnee Mills to shop!

"Im in my underwear! Dont take a picture!"
She is always in her underwear. ha
On Tuesday night Eric and I went to the beach.
Katie didnt want to go because she was crabby!

All of our picture together turn out like this.
No lie.
We are not very good at this.

Im sad to see our little vacation end!
School is right around the corner.
I think I might be ready!

5 Question Friday

1. What's the one thing you buy every time you walk into the store?

I'm a person that doesn't feel the need to buy something when I go to a store. The Target dollar section pulls me in a lot or packs of gum.

2. If you had a day all to yourself how would you spend it?

Watching tv, eating ice cream, and maybe eventually hitting up Starbucks.

3. Are you a speed limit driver? If not, over or under?

Over. Its a bad habit, but it is so hard to break! Cruise control is the best invention ever for a car! Maybe its because of all the hours I once spent playing Grand Theft Auto when I was younger.

4. What's your favorite dessert to make, homemade or from a mix??

Brownies...from a box. Im not much of a baker or a cook for that matter.

5. Would you rather have a spider or a mouse scurry across your face (no copping out and saying "neither!!")?

Mouse. I have a fear of spiders and I don't think I could recover from that!

Tattoos

My friend Ana and I share a birthday.
We both agreed to spend our 18th birthday getting a tattoo together.
So with that only being a year away I have been really looking into it.
I'm convinced I want an anchor.
It represents a lot for me.
Here are some anchor designs that I found on Pinterest...

And while I'm not looking at anchors I tend to like birds and dandelions.

Another idea I love is getting my parents to write something for me.
Then to get their handwriting tattooed.
Love it!

Best friend tattoo!
I think yet.
To infinity and beyond

I love these bird tattoos!
I wouldn't want something this big but a girl can imagine.

So what ones do you like?
