Europe: Krakow, Poland

We woke up feeling so refreshed! Unfortunately, we had to pack and get ready in the dark, because somebody shut the black out curtains. We got directions again and headed off to the airport. The journey out of Milan was a lot easier than the journey to it. We found the right subway, then found the right bus, and arrived at the airport with plenty of time to spare! I got my last taste of Italian pasta while waiting for our flight.
Our flight from Milan to Krakow seemed short, but I also slept most of the way.
We decided to have someone pick us up from the airport and drive us to the hostel to avoid another Milan adventure. Our driver showed us a bit of the city and I was so impressed! We drove right past a castle and the fortress. When we arrived our hostel looked sketchy from the outside. We entered a dark gated area and went into a room with an elevator that had no door and a stair case that was closed due to construction. Our hostel ended up being awesome!

We were going to go out to eat, but the girls at the reception desk insisted we stay for dinner at the hostel. I'm glad we did, because it was so good! We then headed out to explore. Our hostel was perfectly located right near the old town city center and a fortress was at the entrance. We followed the sound of the music, which was playing in the square. It sounded like a polish rock band and people were all over the place. It was apparently for the Have A Heart event that raises money for charity. It was really fun to listen to the band. The soldiers were even dancing! We entered a church, which was apparently holding a service. The actual church goers were probably so annoyed with people walking in and out with the music from outside coming in.

We then walked around and found a pun called Trambar. The nice about Poland is how cheap everything is! Brennan and I sat and talked for a few hours. We then shamefully went to get chicken tenders at McDonald's, which was 100% better then the ones back home. Back at the hostel I hopped in the shower and the water was freezing cold! It was the worst shower of my life, but besides that our room was great!
