Zack and Misty's Wedding

The day after my graduation was Zack and Misty's wedding.
They have been dating for 9 years so it was about time we got to celebrate with a DJ and free dinner!
Victoria and I went to Amanda's house before the wedding to get our make-up done.
All of Zack's Family look like supermodels and we needed to attempt to fit in.

We rushed to the cathedral to attend the actual wedding.
The last time I went to a catholic wedding I was 5 so I considered it to be a new experience.
Misty looked beautiful walking down the aisle.
I even teared up for a bit...the older I get the more emotional I seem to be.
During the wedding Victoria decided that we should get married for the financial benefits.
It was the least romantic proposal ever!
I told her I wanted a well planned proposal with a photographer to capture the moment.
Hers definitely did not make the cut!
She ignored my request and proceeded to tell people that we were engaged all night.

After the wedding ceremony we stayed at the church to watch the wedding party get photographed.
Victoria and Kaitlyn got yelled at by the priest, because they were smoking too close to the church.
After pictures the entire wedding party and close family and friends hopped on the Party Bus.

We had a few hours before the reception so the bus drove us around Green Bay while we drank and had fun. We did stop at a bar for a round of shots and a bathroom break.
It was a lot of fun!

The bus dropped us off at a hotel near the reception hall.
That is where the majority of the people were staying, but it was slightly annoying having to walk in the rain to the reception hall.
Once we arrived I made Victoria chug water, because she went a little too hard on the bus.
I needed her to survive the rest of the night!
There was also an unlimited supply of wine waiting to be drank.

My friend Logyn and I ran into another alumni from our high school at the reception.
It was fun comparing our experiences, because we all graduated at different times.
That school definitely did not change much!

The food was surprisingly really good...or my drunken state made me think it was really good.
I was in a major food coma for a bit afterwards and wasn't sure I was going to make it.
Anthony bombed his best man speech, because he was so fucked up, but Janna powered through and did a great job!
Victoria also managed to yell, "Fuck" in front of the same priest who caught her smoking.
The rest of the night these random people would come up to Victoria and laugh about her slip up.

Zack and Anthony's little sister Celia had a rough night.
She was also taking advantage of the free wine, but this was only the second time she had ever drank.
She was on the bathroom floor for a while, before taking a nap at one of the tables.
Eventually, her dad had to bring her home, but first she puked all over the car, which was going to be used to transport wedding supplies.
Oh to be seventeen again...
We danced a lot, but the DJ wasn't that great.
I requested the same song three different times and he said that it would be next...but it never was!
I'm sure he actually wasn't that bad of a DJ, but I was super annoyed with him.
He also stopped the music at 11:30pm even though the reception wasn't over until midnight.

After the reception we helped carry gifts to the car and helped Misty out of her wedding dress.
We then headed to a bar close by to continue on with the party.
There was a band playing their, which we enjoyed for a little while, but everyone was getting tired.
Our day drinking was catching up to everyone!

The group ended up separating, because people wanted to do different things.
Some wanted to go to bed and others wanted to continue to party at the hotel.
Victoria, Amanda, and I ended up in a car with our friend Chris who was actually heading home.
We decided to just stay with him to finish out the night.

Our night finished when my sister came to pick us up at 8 o'clock in the morning.
We didn't get any sleep and were exhausted!
I shouldn't even be surprised that we went a full 24 hours celebrating this wedding.
Congratulations Zack and Misty!
You threw a hell of a wedding.

College Graduation

For as long as I could remember I always wanted to be a nurse.
It has been a dream I've been chasing my whole life.
It took blood, sweat, and tears, but I finally did it!
I graduated nursing school with highest honors.

My college years were the best and worst time of my life so far.
They were awful because I went from never studying in high school to full on meltdowns during my study sessions in college. I never felt truly relaxed and was constantly on edge waiting for an exam result or an assignment grade to be posted.
I'm grateful for the great support system  that I had to help me through it.
Shout out to my parents, sister, Victoria, and my fellow nursing students Emily and Kaitlyn.

They were also the best, because I learned so much about myself.
I feel like I began to find my true self and I can't wait to continue to grow.
I also went on so many adventures like my road trip across the states, traveling around Europe, spending New Years Eve in Times Square, spring break in Idaho, and all the times Victoria's family welcomed me with open arms in Florida.
I found some really great friends along the way as well and I will forever be grateful for their friendship.

I was in denial for a while that I was truly graduating and it still hasn't sunk in completely.
College is a time everyone seems to look forward to growing up and all of a sudden that stage of my life is over. Time truly flies by!

For once in my life I don't have my next step in place.
I've been throwing around ideas, but I don't have a true game plan yet, which feels so strange for me!
It's kinda nice, but at the same time scary.
I know I'll figure it out and there is truly no rush.

My graduation was held at the Resch Center.
I was so hungover from the night before and at one point was debating if walking across the stage was worth getting out of bed.
I also felt really sad that my nursing school journey was over, but relieved at the same time.
I made sure to put some fruit snack in my bra for a little snack during the ceremony.
I couldn't tell you what the speakers said and walking across the stage felt like a blur.

After receiving my diploma I got pinned by a fellow nurse. I was going to try and explain it, but found out someone said it much better than I could have...

"The pinning ceremony is a time-honored nursing school tradition. Often more personally meaningful than the graduation ceremony, it signifies your official initiation into the brotherhood and sisterhood of nurses. The ceremony is rich with symbolism. The history of this right of passage can be traced all the way back to the Crusades of the 12th century. During this time, the Knights of the Order of the Hospital of St. John the Baptist tended to injured and infirm Crusaders. When new monks were initiated into the order, they vowed to serve these sick soldiers in a ceremony where each monk was given a Maltese cross, the first badges given to those who nurse.
The modern ceremony dates back to the 1860s, when Florence Nightingale was awarded the Red Cross of St. George in recognition for her tireless service to the injured during the Crimean War. To share the honor, she in turn presented a medal of excellence to her brightest graduates. By 1916, the practice of pinning new graduates was standard throughout the U.S." Source
So I pretty much spent a lot of money on a tiny pin, because I'm a sucker for tradition.

After graduation we took some pictures and then went out for Pizza at Sammy's to celebrate with the family. Afterwards, a few of us went out drinking to celebrate!
Emily got us these adorable shot glasses as graduation gifts.

Thank goodness I had recovered from my hangover from the night before!
A lot of people came out to drink with us.
I only stayed out until bar close, because I had a wedding the next day.
I went home and had Logyn attempt to even out my fake tan, which was not the smartest thing to do, because she was very drunk.

And just like that my graduation had come and gone...

Day Drinking

When I returned from the bachelorette party Victoria and Amanda invited me out to day drink with them. I met up with them at Hagermeister out on the patio.
It was such a perfect day for drinking out on patios!
We then hit up Titletown Brewery, but before we went inside we popped open a bottle of champagne and chugged that while jamming out to the Dixie Chicks.

We then decided to take just one shot at another bar and head back to our place.
That's where Amanda passed out on the couch and I cried about my cat.
Amanda loves Arby's and I knew she needed a pick-me-up so we had my sister drive us their.
Arby's literally brought Amanda back to life!
She went from sleeping in the back seat to bitching about not having her Arby's sauce.
It was a miracle, folks!
This picture of Victoria and Lesley have nothing to do with this post, but we didn't take many pictures during our day drinking and I needed to use some picture. So I'm including this picture from another day drinking event!
So after we all recovered Anthony came over and we headed out to a bar for a few drinks, before calling it a day.

The Pre-Party

Zack and Misty had a joint bachelor/bachelorette party a few weekends ago.
It was a night filled with lots of love, great people, and a few WTF moments.
Those nights always go way too fast!
The night started with a dinner party at our house involving Logyn, Janna, and Amanda.
My parents were there for the very beginning and were discussing politics and drugs.
There were a lot of different opinions in that kitchen, but everyone listened to each other and I learned a lot! My parents were leaving when they saw two baby chicks in the garage!
We took a lap around the neighborhood looking for the mama duck, but couldn't find her.
So we cuddled with them for a bit and then placed them in a box for we could bring them to the Wildlife Sanctuary in the morning.

After saving baby ducks we had an unplanned Topless Thursday!
We've been having them a lot, because people have been requested them more and more.
It was Amanda and Logyn's first time participating and definitely not the last.
We then hopped into my sisters car and we met up with the rest of the group.
We bar hopped all night and for the most part all stayed together, which is a feat in itself with a large group. I was involved in so many great conversations that night, but I did have a strange run in with a guy. This dude kept trying to talk to me about how people were out to get him and that people were disappearing from his job. I'm assuming he was either a schizophrenic or on way too many drugs. Amanda had to jump into the conversation with her bluntness and come save me.
He found me again and I was just happened to be standing next to my friend Cliff.
I quickly looped my arm around Cliff's and leaned on him hoping he took the hint.
He did and told the guy to leave me alone.
I finally went to the bouncer and he took care of the situation.

We then headed to Anthony's for a while and had my sister pick us up from there.
By the time I had dragged myself out of bed the next morning my sister had already dropped off the chicks and had mowed the lawn. She's making me look like a slacker!

Bachelorette Party

This past weekend I went to my first legit Bachelorette party for my friend Misty!
Twelve of us drove up to Door County to go wine tasting and spent the night at a cute Inn.

On the way up this car kept cutting people off and Maria got sick of it.
She honked her own at the driver who proceeded to flip her off.
This pissed off Maria who sped up, got in front of this driver, and slowed down to piss her off.
Eventually, Maria got bored and got back in the slow lane and let the girl pass.
When we were leaving a winery that car just happened to be pulling in.
We watched as the group came out and it was coincidentally the bachelorette party that my friend Emily was a part of! Her cousin was the driver of the car and didn't find the situation very funny, but the rest of us did.

We stopped for wine and/or drinks at a few different places and shopped at some cute shops.
We eventually made it to our hotel and unpacked all of our snacks and booze.
We just hung out for a while in our room, before our dinner reservations.
We took jello shots and ate vodka soaked gummy bears, which made my tongue numb.
We passed around a key chain breathalyzer to decide on who got to drive.
I need to invest in one of those!

We piled into two cars and headed to dinner at this fancy restaurant.
Celia was so drunk and ordered honey bbq chicken wings, but then remembered she didn't even like honey bbq and kept falling asleep.
We were all very entertained by her.

When leaving dinner we just followed Misty without questioning where we were going.
She went out the wrong door and we all piled onto the patio and everyone was watching us.
Maria thought quickly and said, "I'm so glad we decided to check out the patio so we know to request to sit out here next time." We all agreed and shuffled back inside to leave through the right door, while dying of laughter.
We hopped into the pool the minute we got back.
We played with a beach ball, talked, and drank.
The party continued there until the pool closed around 10.
At that point we decided to go for a walk outside, which lead to us sitting in a parking spot telling stories and laughing. We then migrated to the children's playground and hung out on the swings and picnic table.

It started to get cold so we headed back to the room where we continued to party.
Everyone was their best selves and no one wanted the night to end!
I also decided that I love dips.
I was going to town that night dipping shit in dips and I was in heaven.

The next morning we cleaned up the rooms and headed to breakfast at a cute restaurant.
Despite the night we had everyone was a champ the next morning.
I got mocked for the insane amount of creamer I put in my coffee.
I loved spending time with this awesome group of girls!
I'm sad that the weekend went by so fast, but I know the wedding will be a fantastic time!

Tini Tuesday

Victoria and I always seem to have opposite schedules.
This past Tuesday we finally had a night free together!
So we got dressed up and headed to one of our favorite places to get cocktails, Proof.
They were having a burger special and we decided to try out the food.
Our burgers were so good!
We then headed to a cute bar down the street for another drink before heading to Standard for martini's.
It was nice hanging out and catching up.
We do live together, but having opposite schedules doesn't leave a lot of time for hanging out.
We picked up Brennan on the way and Amanda joined us.
We hung out in the back for a while, until Logyn and Anthony met up with us.
We made Anthony drive us to another bar, which is where we stayed for the rest of the night.
One of my favorite memories of the night was when Victoria and I took a shot of Jameson. Victoria told me she was going to go puke and I followed her and said," I could probably puke right now." We both did and left our bathroom stalls like nothing happened and carried on with the night.
Puke and rally champs!

At the end of the night, we all headed to Blackstone for some food!
Why does food always taste so much better when you're drunk?
